    Exclamation Suzuki Jimny

    hello pakwheelers:

    i am going to buy a Suzuki Jimny in a couple of months. (second hand or import not brand new). i am a trekker/angler and often go to Northern areas and interior punjab for these purposes. i cannot afford to maintain two vehicles (1 4 by 4 and one car) so thats y decided that jimny is my best option. i do have a budget of around 9-10 lacs.

    DO U PPL THINK ITS THE RITE CHOICE?

    The Jimny is a gem of a Mini-SUV. It is indeed the right choice but don't go for the 660cc engine, its under-powered and won't suit your terrain..! I had a PakSuzuki import 1.3 JLX Jimny and i still regret selling it..! Smart in city and tough in nature;thats how the people at Suzuki put it! Cheers!

    I'm afraid you'll have to spend over the mentioned budget to get any of the two(PakSuzuki import or self-import from japan). 1.2 to 1.3 million is what you're looking at when it comes to the PakSuzuki version (06-08 model, good condition). it'll be a little higher for a japanese import.

    agreeing with Fero2... its a gem of a vehicle for a small family. Takes u where other vehicles would think twice.. however u might need to rework your budget bro. You may not be able to import anything below 2006 model hence keep 1.2 million in mind when shopping for 1300 cc in 2006 plus model.

    @asifcae:

    I once had a Suzuki Jimny 1992 model (SJ-410 shape). Its a tough machine, but yes I agree that the 660cc one is underpowered. Mine was 660cc and once it blew its turbo, it couldn't recover despite the change of turbo and then I sold it. I still think that I could inject the extra power into it if I had instead decided to put in a 1300 cc or even a 1000 cc engine in it. Jimny of that shape would cost you a lot less.
