Default Petrol Engine swap in 1992 LandCruiser II

    Assalam o Alaikum everyone.

I have got a diesel Land Cruiser II (5 door),It is in very good condition .I want to change its engine to petrol .Please suggest the best swap for it. I have heard that 1jz,2jz, 5vz, 3f and 22re can be swapped.

Does these petrol engines have much power to pull the jeep into the mountains ??

If anyone has swapped a petrol engine in LandCruiser II, please share your experience.

    Something really powerful but,
i've no earthly idea from where to buy it in karachi? Will it be new or used.
Do I have to change the transmission aswell?

lc is famous for its reliability and this is the reason why its liked so much, so keep it this way and go with any bolt on swap if you really want to change your fuel, hence the two engines which came stock i.e. 1fz-fe and 3f-e
its all about power to weight ratio...

As you mentioned, "LC is in very good condition" and if the engine is also in very good condition, I'd suggest not to go for swap. Toyota diesel engines are much reliable . . .

bro jst used the efi technology, or further advanced and remember that transmission must also be replaced to achieve the balance ratio.
as far as my personal experience is concern use above 2500 cc petrol engine. to pull the 5 door beast.
And i have done this job also to my land cruiser 2 1991 and i swap with 22r with carbo one. the torque was good enough but for above reason not satisfied completely with transmission, so i would suggest 3rz with auto tranny and enjoy it........
