In that range you don't have many choices unfortunately,
The SUVs you may be able to afford are Landcruiser BJ60 in poor condition or an early model, or a pre-1990/1 (Gen 1) Pajero in decent condition.
Parts will be available for both the vehicles however I would advise you to consider a Pajero as you'll get a far newer vehicles int he same price, parts are easily and widely available, the engine is smaller and more economical as a daily driver, comfortable and relatively smaller and more managable size for our traffic.

Im have seen a 3 door pajero intercooler turbo 1995 for sale and i want to buy it, but the problem seems to me is i dont understand what he has done to it.

He has swapped pajero engine with toyota engine
    Gear changed to manual
    off-road gear removed
    CNG installed
He says the suv gives a very good run at fuel consumption. He says it gives 100KM on 500Rs. CNG.

I dont understand what he has done with Pajero.

Is it safe to buy this vehicle?

From what you're describing he has destroyed it,
it's no longer a Pajero and if you ever need to sell it, no one will buy,
God only knows what all has been altered to get the toyota engine and replacing the auto to manual,
I would steer clear of it unless you'e getting it at a ridiculously low price (circa 3-4 lacks)
so if you still want to consider buying it then firstly post some pics up here, take a mechanic or someone who is well versed in Pajeros and show it to him, also let us know how much you're getting it for,
I personally don't see the point in getting an SUV which is no longer an SUV, instead in your 6 lacks you'd be better off going for a large, luxurious sedan which would be available dime a dozen.

What is the Best Pajero i should buy on Diesel?
my budget plan is till 6-7laks max.

My usage is very low, and i dont do off-roads,
    im only a city driver.
i want easy running parts availability if so needed,
and i like good big tyres & Hi-Roof models.

    i like the Pajero here---> https://www.pakwheels.com/used-cars/...karachi-206966

is this Pajero OK to buy?
i visited him, the condition is very fine, chassis & engine, he says it's very less used, and they bought it 15 years back, they are original owners.

Sir, im very new to Pajero's, i dont at all have knowledge about them. I need ur wisest suggestion/advice to buy a jeep for my family.
I dont want to buy a thing that can HANG in the middle of the traffic.

Rig seems in good condition - though you need to pull the price down. I guess somewhere at good point between 500-550k if the engine is in good condition.

That Pajero seems to be very nice in pics, the owner has had it for 15 years you say, the jeep is 24 years old, so I guess it was somewhere else for the first 9 years, check the documents carefully, have a CPLC check, get a mechanic to check the engine and the body for you,

Also check where the vehicle was auctioned from, ask for the auction sheet to suggest that the vehicle has been auctioned etc and ensure it corresponds to the reg, chassis no. etc,

Also ask to see the original number plates and documents, verify that it has been with the same owner for the last 15 years and the body is not replaced, the body is very clean for Karachi, I can't see any rust etc on it either which is great, people often buy auctioned vehicles in poor condition and replace the body, your mechanic will also be able to suggest whether the body has been replaced or not. Also let us know which engine it has, is it a 4D55 or 4D56, that isnt a condition, it's just curiosity so don't freak out over it.

There is nothing wrong if the body is changed etc as it's legal to do so, it does however effect the value, you would also need to consider that the auction registered vehcile is slightly harder to sell and also goes a bit cheaper,

Also verify the mileage, it's surprising that the vehicle has travelled on average 7,900km per year over the last 24 years, again, I'm not saying its impossible, just surprising,

If the response to all the considerations mentioned here are affirmative then go ahead and make an offer, as Machine said 500 - 550 is a decent price for a vehicle in this exceptional condition, I would second that but would lean closer to 500.

Good advice Faraz.....you are a quick learner and almost there! Just my two cents.....4D55 ceased to exist post 1985....'86 saw the Pajero with a 4D56! Moreover the price is secondary, main thing being the condition....I wont mind paying the guy even 6 if the car is very clean and it keeps me out of the workshop .....rebuilds and projects costs have really soared these days and cost a fortune, and sometimes, even a limb!

Question Pajero 1990 2.5D Intercooler Last series of 1st Generation

I heard many people saying and suggesting me to look for a 1990 Flat Roof 2.5D Intercooler Pajero. The last version of the 1 Generation series to be precise.

People say this series was a HIT and is reliable, more comfortable, more fuel economical and luxury.

What you people say about it?
What are its Pros & Cons?
