Default Toughest 4x4 for Hard-Core off roading

Pl suggest the toughest 4x4 for hard core off roading which is comfortable as well, not necessarily luxurious.

LRs are the best there are for off road
On Road manners improved in 2008 onwards models and they are also comfortable off road because of their specific suspension

LCs & Jeep. On a scale of 1 - 10, both vehicles could be put at 8-8.5. Also, toughest is highly subjective. The latest you get, less is the chance to break down.

defender all the way.... the new model's got a pretty decent interior.... kinda like the 95 prado but with a new feel to it....
the clutch alone is the size of a mehran, takes a strong left leg to drive, but off road it's un beatable!!!
fuel economy is very decent (abt 12-14 km/L, thanks to its 6 speed gear box u'll be going at motorway speeds at 2.25 x1000 rpm)
and most of all, if u arrive to a wedding/party in one (specially black colour) its classy!!!
to bad that its electronically limited to 145 km top speed though
