Default A good combination is more important than just bigger engine.

Dear friends, when i look back, i feel myself lucky enough to have kept/ throughly driven almost all famous 4X4 brands available here in Pakistan. Currently i have a 5 door land cruiser, 6 cylinder, 4000cc petrol engine which really works like a beast.

In the last few months i started liking a very special 4X4 with many offroading qualities. I am happy to announce that last week i purchased one in excellent condition so would like to share it with you all.

    The details are

    suzuki Jimny LJ 50
    1978 model
    2 stroke
    539cc
    4 fwd gear
    weighs around 600kg
    soft top
    rwp registered
    original from inside outside
    4X4 working
    100% original mechanically
    original book
    original engine
    top speed 90 Km/hr
    mileage around 18 km/ ltr

I am giving few pictures which i took today.

    awesome yar. great 4x4.

good setup is definatley more important than huge engine...as u said...but buddy having fun with the 4x4 is the most important.

two strokes can be boosted in terms of power by adding expansion chambers and upgrading the main fuel jet to match the expansion chamber requirement. yar its basically like a turbo but using sound waves. most will not understand...but just google expansion chambers and you will understand what i mean. I had the yamaha RD350 two stroke bike and had upgraded its power quiet a bit...the bike would blow away even 600cc 4 stroke bikes. when i got married 8 years ago, I had to sell my RD350 because my wife thought it was toooo dangerous . and now have a FJ40 with a 14b engine and 33 inch tires.

Fantastic find! and you are cent percent correct, its all about the combination. Please do get rid of the Toyota mud flaps, otherwise its a good looking ride.

    Masha-Allah..Aala condition hai..
The thing which amazed me the most is the specs...after such a longggg time she is still running original stuff, the previous owner must have kept her very well..care to share the price??the 2nd thing which amazed me is how do u find such vehicles??..
Also, one thing which confused me is u have dropped from 4000cc engine to 539cc...
Qaiser Pal,I have not failed. But found 1 of 10,000 ways which doesn't work.....Toyota driver "I couldn't repair my brakes,so i made my horn louder"..When i was born i was so surprised that i didn't talked to one and half year..since light travel faster then sound, people appear bright until you hear them speak..If u can't convince them, confuse them

@ salmanchaudhry, janj, Mitsu -man, thanks for the compliments.

@ raohamid, u r right brother, my cruiser standing near by also does'nt feel comfortable with it.

@ sarmadqureshi, yes, it's the same lj 50 which i was looking for.

@ imtishal , brother u r right. Both my rides are totally different from each other. 4000cc and 539cc are definitaly different in power but imagine 4000cc carrying around 2600kg and 539cc carrying just around 600kg.
Yesterday i took it for some light offroading and the results were amazing.
I shall soon post video's of what it's capable of.
I took complete one week in checking its mechanical areas and now it's ready for action anywhere.

i would request everyone to have a look at the videos i have already posted. Atleast the second one.

Here are few suggestions which i think are very much practical. I have once before done same type of modification in a hard top samurai and the result was good. The aim is to have more space and adding some beauty to it. i am planning to lengthen its frame and body and have two choices for that. Please give your vote and comments against each.

This is what it looks like now.

    @noman

One more suggestion or modification i think of is just to extend the frame 6-8" right at the end after rear wheels.I think this will give u enough room to put parallel seats.
