    Question 4x4Engaged? Winter in September!!

The picture below shows the upper end of an active or moving unique (Bualtar)Hopar Glacier. Unique? where human life is found above Glacier. Because of constant breaking of ice the glacier is moving right along at about 8 inches per day. The glacier is approximate 20km long in distance. Take with you your best gripping shoes because the surface is very slippery.
The melt waters fall into the hydro power station, and then carve a constantly changing path & merge with Hispar water & finally into Hunza River.
I visited this Glacier back in 2002 with my wife & same was witnessed by 4x4 Engaged? the unspoiled beauty of Pakistan in September 2011.

    Default Hunza Peak

    Wiki:
Hunza Peak lies in the westernmost subrange of the Karakoram range along with the Ladyfinger Peak (Bublimating). It lies on the southwest ridge of the Ultar Sar massif, the most southeasterly of the major groups of the Batura Muztagh. The whole massif rises precipitously above the Hunza Valley to the southeast.
Bublimating, while having little prominence above the saddle with nearby Hunza Peak, is particularly notable for being a sharp, relatively snowless rock spire among snow peaks.

Wiki: Hunza Peak (centre) with Bublimotin (Ladyfinger Peak) on its left, the southwest ridge of Ultar Sar (resp. Bojohagur Duanasir) on the very right. All of them are part of the Batura Muztagh in the Karakorams in Pakistan

    Default The Ladyfinger Peak.

Bublimotin, Bubli Motin, Bublimating or Ladyfinger Peak, is a distinctive rock spire in the Batura Muztagh, the westernmost subrange of the Karakoram range in Pakistan. It lies on the southwest ridge of the Ultar Sar massif, the most southeasterly of the major groups of the Batura Muztagh. The whole massif rises precipitously above the Hunza Valley to the southeast. Bublimotin, while having little prominence above the saddle with nearby Hunza Peak, is particularly notable for being a sharp, relatively snowless rock spire among snow peaks. This, combined with its height above the valley, makes it quite eye-catching; hence the distinctive name. It provides a 600 m (1830 ft) rock climb (with a very serious alpine approach) and has been the scene of some notable paragliding.
