    Question 4x4Engaged? Winter in September!!

The picture below shows the upper end of an active or moving unique (Bualtar)Hopar Glacier. Unique? where human life is found above Glacier. Because of constant breaking of ice the glacier is moving right along at about 8 inches per day. The glacier is approximate 20km long in distance. Take with you your best gripping shoes because the surface is very slippery.
The melt waters fall into the hydro power station, and then carve a constantly changing path & merge with Hispar water & finally into Hunza River.
I visited this Glacier back in 2002 with my wife & same was witnessed by 4x4 Engaged? the unspoiled beauty of Pakistan in September 2011.

This, combined with its height above the valley, makes it quite eye-catching; hence the distinctive name. It provides a 600 m (1830 ft) rock climb (with a very serious alpine approach) and has been the scene of some notable paragliding.

Thumbs up Sitting in the balcony

Thank you guys for your appreciation. Sync's captures are truly amazing no doubt.

and here is the icing on the cake

These views were from our room balcony ! Yep, waking up at Eagles Nest or having evening tea in the balcony, these are the views that give you company.

Look to your right: Hunza peak, Lady finger, Ultar 2

Look ahead (11 o clock to be exact Rakaposhi

Look down and one can see the whole of the Hunza valley below. Amazing place to stay !
