    Question 4x4Engaged? Winter in September!!

The picture below shows the upper end of an active or moving unique (Bualtar)Hopar Glacier. Unique? where human life is found above Glacier. Because of constant breaking of ice the glacier is moving right along at about 8 inches per day. The glacier is approximate 20km long in distance. Take with you your best gripping shoes because the surface is very slippery.
The melt waters fall into the hydro power station, and then carve a constantly changing path & merge with Hispar water & finally into Hunza River.
I visited this Glacier back in 2002 with my wife & same was witnessed by 4x4 Engaged? the unspoiled beauty of Pakistan in September 2011.

Personally, I feel blessed that Allah let us go and complete this trip.

That said, it's all about passion bro. Where there is a will, there is a way. Old saying, but your reply prompted me to respond and point out people having both means and time but choosing to spend otherwise. and then people with passion for our beautiful Pakistan, working to save money and then taking time out from their daily routines to do trips like these. All about preferences. All about what you want in life.

Thanks for the appreciation. I will post a map of our route soon. But first, we have to go to our Winter in September destination.

Thanks bro. Your appreciation all along has been quite motivational in sharing this trip with y'all.

The pics you ask about are from a point above Eagle's Nest hotel. They call it a View Point. Only do able on foot and takes 10-15mins to get there. All brown mountains then are at par with you and only snow peaks are above you. Offers the best views in Hunza for sure.

Like it is a must to go to Eagle's Nest when one visits Hunza, IMO, it is a must to go to this view point when one visits Eagle's Nest.

O sorry ! read it as 'these', my bad.

i don't think any pics were taken of the road track going up to Eagle's Nest. It was too dark and we were tired.

Afterwards, we were just too focused on going to WIS and aftewards admiring WIS
