Hi guys
I just thought I'd share my experience with you. I bought an old Jeep recently, which was being run on CNG. Naturally, I had the CNG kit removed and got it running on petrol. But, it would keep quitting on me -- sometimes in the most unfortunate of places. It was a nightmare, capped by numerous trips to the mechanic, several expensive repairs, and the embarrassment of being towed by much "smaller" cars :p.
In the end, after several mechanics kept pointing the finger at the fuel pump, I myself figured out the problem. The fuel tank needed a good cleaning, and its running fine...for now :).
So, if any of you experience excessive stalling and missing, maybe the problem lies in your fuel tank -- a relatively inexpensive repair.
