There was a model facelift ( KZN185Ws) which we refer to ad the SSR-Gs. But the KZN130W had slight cosemetic tid bits here and there. The front bumper is the give away. The mid to late 95 versions have a two piece unit with a crome fender and black dam or bottom end. The Late 95 early 96s have a uniform color with the fender flares matched. The options have been played around quite a bit so you really have to have a keen eye.

Anythings possible, what matters is your dedication. Its not just bumpers. The 185 has an additional line traversing the lenght of the body. The Flares are bigger ont he 185. The front accessory panel is differnt. Lowered ride height. The rear's much simpler. The combination lamps are straight swap. The rear suspensions' slightly modified as are the front struts. You know the other difference. Just swap the coach work. Straight fit, less work!

Cosmetic changes were made to 1995 Model as compare to 1993 models. Mechanically the only difference B/W 1995/1996 is that Intercooler was attached to July 1996 Models. Both 1995 & 1996 came with KZN185W.

KZN185W started in December 1995 and KZN130W started way back in August 1993.

    Modifications produced from July 1996:
Only 2 Hilux Surf models were introduced in 1996 as comared to 1995 Models:

    G / D= Fuel Type
