DIY Painting
This is one aspect of car rebuilds that I just love. Some of you may have seen this when I was flame-painting one of my old Impalas. Twice. Hehehe.
After much serious thought, I've come to the conclusion that I am NOT going to paint the Phantom any particular colour, and leave it in matte black primer. This too, is quite by design. The truck doesn't NEED to have shiny, neat-looking, gleaming paint. In fact, it'd be quite an injustice, to try and make its rugged good looks "presentable".
That doesn't mean that the paint job isn't going to happen. For now, I've decided that ALL paint on the Phantom is going to be DIY. From rattle can spray paint, no less. For now, this is going to consist of white embellishments to go with the matte black colour. However, it's perfectly conceivable, that some months down the line, I may be tempted to spray paint it in a shade of camouflage. Or tiger stripes. Or something else.
Some pictures to show the results of my labour...all of this; with cans of aerosol spray paint.
