    While net surfing came upon videos of taftan,taftan is a remote town of balochitsan along the iranian border

    Taftan is also a kind of bread available in Karachi, it tastes very good.

    Thanks for sharing! I have heard about something like this but had not come across the videos. This seems to be old and I understand that nowadays its done with newer 4x4s and quite a bit of fanfare....

    I wouldn't be surprised if the videos aren't that old and they are racing with these even now!
    Folk in remotest areas of Pakistan still host these cars as their prized trophies!

    This all started in early 80' when drivers wanted to impress the smugglers that i am the better driver so you should hire me for the job and it is still done today for the same Purus but with little fun fare.

    so much of Pakistan to develop. we are sleeping. look at all those those kids running loose.. make schools, put these kids in schools, make roads, do some city planning.

    Makes sense! I hear that the smugglers run 70 series dalas, carbed 3Fs with diff lockers and winches both at front and back.....

    so we are way advance and fast and furious should have been filmed in Taftan not in rio de janeiro.

    me too, i have raced my corolla with them way back in 1999 only to realise at 155km/hr that they were petrol dallas and that speed was nothing for them. Additionally they keep one headlight fused, to evade the law enforcers, so that from a distance it looks like a motorbike.
