Default 4x4 section of Pakwheels is dead

Looks like there aren't many modern 4x4 guys on Pakwheels. All we can find here is old rigs and no new stuff like new safaris or land cruisers 100 series or 200.

    Come on guys wake up.

And what exactly would the people who own new 100 or 200 series vehicles be doing in this section? I hardly doubt anyone would put their such expensive vehicles to real offroading activity and then show here...

If you are only interested in seeing their primed mall-crawlers all clean and shiny sitting in their porches then whats the point?
You'll mostly see older/ not-so-expensive rides doing the stuff that we do here. In fact, even in west, you'll see real offroaders using souped up older vehicles for offroading activity. They may have spent shitload on various upgrades but mostly they'll be middle of the range type vehicles..

well as i see it there are many moderan 4x4 guys but the problem is that its either that they are too busy with other stuff and like to keep a low profile and when something goes wrong big time with their vehicles they turn up on forums to get opinions.

Other factors are that forget the 100 series and 200 series people are running the 80 series stock with no added accessories.

Almost 90% owners here enjoy adding body kits to their suv's and also choose the oem body kit.

    Things like bullbars
Winch lift kit etc are extint.

Only restoring fj40 turns out to be the latest trend. Because it cheap and most want to sell it for profit.

I did try to inject some fun by bumping the 4x4 registry thread but it went dead now even the 4x4 competition thread is dead.

the 4x4 the we have now a days cant even cross a road bump then how would they go off-road. New 4x4's not all of them but most of them are just a luxury apartment on wheels that's it.

Pakistanis only find it fun to offroad/shikaar on a modern SUV when it's Govt owned :p. And people don't post such 'harkatain' on the internet.

Although new 4x4s r hard and tough like LC200 but due to plastic bumpers, less ground clearance, lots of sensors and scratch less body , one can't take them off road especially in rocky terrain . They r very reliable , comfortable and successful in desert and snow bashing. In extreme off roading which is the culture of 4x4 clubs in Pakistan, old rigs r succesful as whatever happens to vehicles, one don't take it at heart.

If we talk about old rigs,I have seen a number of ppls giving up because of high maintenance & running costs involved in keeping an old rig in running condition. So ppl have either shifted to CNG or sold their rides till the gud times return.
Qaiser Pal,I have not failed. But found 1 of 10,000 ways which doesn't work.....Toyota driver "I couldn't repair my brakes,so i made my horn louder"..When i was born i was so surprised that i didn't talked to one and half year..since light travel faster then sound, people appear bright until you hear them speak..If u can't convince them, confuse them
