    @FUMA

Electricians, sadly, are mostly ch**ts as you really can't make out the magnitude of the work involved.......most of 'em would ask you to LEAVE your car with 'em for a day or two even if it needs a minor relay change.....and when you come back they'll charge you heftily for an I/C or circuit replaced in your ECU..... but this has been my experience, entirely!
You shoot whats bugging you...... maybe we can straighten that out?

    So true
    I have a personal experience
While coming back from KKH after this documentary we made
Got Engine Check light at Abottababd in my TLC
Consulted a mechanic there, said it comes on no problem, keep on driving.
As we were in a hurry to reach back home on Eid, so we moved.
At Muzaffargah, got another light Engine Timing Belt.
Again kept on driving & we were home at 0400 hrs on Eid Day.
Next, I had the timing belt changed, which fixed the timing light problem.
But the Engine Check light was ON & the sound of engine had changed.
Since it has ECU, went to a Electrician who has DDT, he charged Rs 800/- & gave me the result.
    I asked what next
He said, the mechanic has not fixed the timing belt tensioner correct, so it has to be removed & re installed.
The fuel Pump is not OK, the sensors are defective & each sensor costs Rs 3000-4000.
The tappett needs to be adjusted as sound is not OK & bala bala.
u have to leave the vehicle for at least 1-2 days.
About cost, he said it will be around 8-10 thousand.
I am a electrical engineer & have this engine manual.
Came back home, consulted the manual & found what it says about the faul code result.
    there were 2 things
    1. Engine Speed Sensor (it is on fuel pump)
    2. Engine Crank Case position sensor (it is below engine oil level sensor).
    Checked # 1 & it was OK
While # 2 had a wire broken, connected it.
Also checked the 2 sensor's resistance, they were fine.
    Started the Engine & Bingo
    No sound No Light
& It is running as strong as it used to Run.

So u see, it costed me Rs 800/- & a little effort.

Still, u shoot the problem at Internet Forums & u will get all answers.

It will save money & u have mental satisfaction.
Won't stuck with minor problems on the road & be handicapped.

I fixed my Hub Lock & Rear Diff Lock Problem through www.ih8mud.com

Well I might've sounded too cynical but that's how mostly it is since the advent of EFIs and their sensors! Baig Aqeel's narration cements my argument!

    @Baig Aqeel

Well you did the write thing!
And the feeling of not getting outsmarted by a goon is much much greater than the thought of losing couple of thousand bucks!
My advice....own greasy hands always serve better.....rely on 'em!

    Cool Electrician FOUND!!!

My OLD LOST Friend MASTER BLASTER Electrician has been found!!!

I was gettin' my rad. job done at Gizri,Khi, there was also a huge workshop besides there, when i went there i found da' guy which i lost few years back, he changed his workshop, previously he was working for another guy at Khadda market wid Saleem motors, now he's in Gizri.

This guy is so FAST & Capable of handling jobs very Swiftly. Most of the thing he does by his normal tools and uses very less spare parts, this is his Master TALENT!!
Anyone who NOW wants to get his any SUV ELECTRICAL Work DONE FAST!? contact me3126850245, i'll get u hooked up wid this guy. & Special thing about this guy, HE LOVES to work OVER-NIGHT !! so if anyone is busy whole day & wants to get the work done at night, here it is, ur night JOINT!

Did all the Re-wiring! no spare parts used except for some little-less parts like clips, wires, taping etc etc, and removed all the junked wired diagram from the ride, minimizing it to the less wires, tied-up, water proofed & clipped from side walls. Clean n Clear!

Now most of the things are getting Proper FULL Current FLOW killing the resistance in BAD & Useless Junked-up Wiring!! About 2Kg of BAD Wiring was just removed as JUNK! It is now done in such a clean way that, now anyone can understand the wiring wid EASE, and easily pin-point exact ERROR when if some occurs!!
