    Default Mohicans' Day out ...

    Dear fellows & friends,

This is our second trip with J40s to primarily test the newly built off-road trailer. It also has a SOA ;-) suspension with an expected load capacity of 400-600kg depending on terrain. Pls don’t grab me by collar for saying so as I have just quoted the fabricator who knows his job well.

The salient features of the trailer are:
    - SOA with leaf-springs & shock absorbers
    - Ladder frame integrated in monocoque pipe structure – extremely rigid, strong & rattle free.
    - Sheet-metal for base, sides & top cover.
    - Lid has a box-frame structure for added volume-based luggage on top of it.
    - The tow-hook has a spring on the inside for smoother pull. Another one will be added on the outer side as well.
    - Spare tire & mud-guards
    - Lockable rear drop-down panel for easy access.
    - For security, lid opener can be accessed from inside the lockable door only.
    - Dual struts for lid.
    - Back lights
    - Will have a hitch at the back

This built was totally based on pictures, explanations, demand, and untiring efforts of the wonderful & great friend, brother @machine! Though extremely busy with his everyday schedule, he managed to pay countless visits to the fabricator on the other side of town to ensure everything is done as needed.

The trailer is pretty solid, balanced & came out to be in good proportions & dimensions to go along well with both our vehicles with the maximum articulation & turning @ hitch that we were able to check.

Few snags & glitches also surfaced during this short trip to be rectified in the following days. With the Jurassic Cruiser, one issue was the engine not restarting despite having 2 batteries installed and the second was drum brakes failed to grip at all when the vehicle was on slope. Thus, due to both these problems, @machine had to bring the vehicle down from rocks on gear without brakes & engine running.

My vehicle was diagnosed with a broken engine foundation from the previous trip (must have been old enough). This vehicle is all stock except SOA. Power & drivetrain still in auction condition as I have decided to keep it so for the time being.

Those who have read it thru, thank you for u’r time & patience.

Thank you @Tareen for your generosity in choosing words for me regarding trailer built. Just a correction for all that the basic concept and design of trailer was given by @Tareen and this successful built was not possible without his support and guidelines. AND THE TRAILER BELONGS TO @Tareen ACTUALLY

As far as the "Mohicans day out" is concerned, that was real FUN indeed though scary enough too

Here especially I would like to thank My mechanic Mr. Rizwan Qureshi who was also accompanying us on "Mohicans day out"

Rizwan Qureshi critically watching both rigs

As I am travelling for few days so I will share my part of details later

Great pictures, tareen and machine brothers.

I especially love the trailer's shape, and how it looks so FJ-ish!

There's no problem with the trailer being too heavy, I hope? (since it LOOKS kind of bulky, when hitched to your rides)
Always buy cars which your children love. They'll be helpful allies against your wife, later on!

The pleasure is all mine brother. Had a pleasured time in your great company. I would like to officially thank you for this WONDERFUL GIFT Chaser (the trailer) carrying countless hours of your valuable time, keen interest & supervision of the whole process. THANK YOU.

Thank you very much for liking the efforts brother. With the limited resources & understanding that we have, this thing is worth every penny that we have spent on it. Alhamdo Lillah.

I can't say much about the difference of pulling experience till we get hold of a lighter trailer, of which the chances are thin!

Otherwise, its presence was hardly felt in acceleration, braking & turning (being empty ). Reversing it is an issue with its shorter arm, on the other hand, that shorter length is very practical while driving in and around city.

As known, most recreational and military trailers of these dimensions range from 275 to 650 kg, this one will fit somewhere in between. Though we have to weigh it yet!

Oh yes - These pics dont do justice with intensity of the incline you cant feel it unless you climb on the top and turn the engine off and loose your brakes

    Mohicans Day out -370634

Love the performance of the trailer - I towed it offroad at more than 80KM speed and the stability was amazing.

Tareen's Trail cruiser was also pulling it with ease at some serious wet sands I yet remember a steep climb of Tareen with trolley. Great performance Mashallah.

@Tareen - Sir on our next long drive trip the trolley should carry some weight to test its loaded drive.
