Best thing about this is that it has water proof interior.

Thanks.Actually it has very good street manners and i will find out in few weeks that how it behaves on the dirt tracks (as i am planning an off road/mountain trip). You are absolutely correct about the weather here in California,it is fantastic all year around.I am lucky (Alhamdolilah) that the place where i live i have access to all the condition that one like to have,80 miles north we have snow covered mountains (although not very very high about 6000+ feet),ocean is 45-55 miles west from here and desert is about 75-80 miles east from my house,so it is a win win situation!

When i first brought it home my family thought that it might not fit in the garage as it looks monstrous, actually it is smaller in lenght from my wife's Camry that is parked next to my car it looks big as it is a bit taller and a shade wider then a normal car,so i think it could easily be driven where any other off road vehicle can go.

as Toyota Legendry FJ series which was discontinued to launch PRADO the FJ relaunch failed to make an impact due to 3 door folding sub-doors SUV
Just a little correction brother, the prado is alltogether a different range of models than the Fj series of landcruisers. FJ/BJ/HJ/HZJ/FZJ and now GRJ(2010) are all heavy duty landcruisers which had the typical 'army wali' shape unchanged from 1985 to 2007 when there was a face lift with a revised front end. The prado evolved from the light duty LJ/RJ landcruisers and from 1996 onwards had running gear also found on the surf/forerunner vehicles. This FJ cruiser has nothing in common with the FJ series heavy duty vehicles and shares its drivetrain with the forerunner/surf line up. The only thing 'FJ' about this is the look it sports to commemorate the olf FJ40 LandCruiser. It is not a landcruiser, its a forerunner/surf based FJ cruiser.

Am I the only one who feels the FJ Cruiser should come standard with off road tires? Toyota should fall off its rocker and pay no heed to road noise or comfort with the FJ.

Congrats on the new purchase. I've yet to see an army green FJ.

    Congratulations.

You're absolutely right when you say the FJ Cruiser is a beast that evokes love or hate, and no shades of grey in between! Regardless of which, it STILL carries THE most hallowed name in off-roading.

Hope you have a great time with it.
Always buy cars which your children love. They'll be helpful allies against your wife, later on!
