Thumbs up which engine type is better for JEEP CJ-7

    salam every one.
I'm a 4x4 off road lover. In a few days i m going to buy a cj7 jeep. I think it has 2.c engine may be. What do you prefer that which engine type is best for a cj7 for "Normal" off road activities and a little bit rock crawling and also in fuel efficiency.
    Thanks a lot guys..

    In my Opinion

If you want to go for a diesel

    1-KZ and 5L-E

    For Petrol

    5-VZ

2C is a good engine, but only for on road and city driving.

For highway and offroading I will sugest atleast a 3C-T. Currently I am running a 3C-T in my CJ7. It is a good combo for on and off road, and economical too.

There is another advantaage which I forgot to mention.

As you are running a 2C, you will not require a lot of metal fabrication to fit a 3C-T coz both the engines are identical in physical appearance.

Take a good mechanic with you when you paln to buy the engine. Normally mechanics who have good knowledge of a Diesel engines will spin the engine with a wrench and let you know that is it worth buying or not.

This 3CT is the forth kabli diesel engine that I am using. Never had a problem at all. Never even ahanged the rings on them.

3CT is really a good engine. I hv 3ct in ma cj-5 & I am v.much satisfied from its performance & consumption on & off road. If U wanna go 4 xtreme power go for 1Kz. Its far batter thn 3CT. Price difference will be abt 20-25k
Here in pesh 2C & 3C engines are checked by mechanics. They start the engine before fitting & check its blow. In pesh engine check price is Rs:400/=. Hv bought 3-4 engines & checked in the same way
Once again I suggest U if U dont hv any financal issue go for 1Kz.
Per litre milage of 3Ct is abt 10-11km/l on road while 1Kz is abt 6km/l
