you need some serious maintenance in one GO. before that like Xulfiqar asked is your vehicle revving up normal when parked - P & N - if it is stalling to roar ( sans lay rahi hai ) you need to do following before heading for some USTAAD to butcher the engine & transmission

    1. change fuel filter
    2. change air cleaner
    3. change transmission oil filter in transmission
    4. refill tranmssion fluid with correct SAE rating fluid as mentioned by Xulfiqar

if there is positive improvement in performance but not enough do post clear cut findings if there is any place near you with a Toyota scanner request the shop to pull the error codes ' do not reset ' and post the code details if conveneint.

many of us are here on forum in evenings so do whatever is possible during day and post here for further input.

I faced a similiar problem 2 years back when I first bought my LC. It would not do well on steep slopes and always felt sluggish. That is not a fun feeling. Here is what I did:

    1. Got the clutch replaced (manual transmission)
    2. Changed all possible oils
    3. Got nozzles serviced
    4. Air filter service (for oil based filters)
    5. Went to a reliable diesel lab for tune ups

Make sure you go to the right place to get all these things done, especially the diesel lab, clutch and nozzles. The Kiani brothers are a great resource for you to take help from in Pindi.
Good Luck. Let us know what works out in the end.

Dear Friends Although still using WARCO Auto Transmission Fluid Type however changed fuel filter, changed air cleaner , changed transmission oil filter. RPM increases once parked or neutral but once standing on a rising road and go to DDrive then RPM do not rise much on acclerator. I think i need to go for replaced of auto transmission cluth. Need your guidance as well as expenses involved. Will also try to contact IJC.Waiting for your response

    Default Warco

Is the ATF used Warco Type A? If yes I think that ATF is not compatible with your transmission because its the earliest form of ATF. Check with the owners manual (I think it must be atleast DX2). In case its not compatible change is ASAP. In case of dexron 4 I think its backward compatible. Zic ATF III is widely available.Just my

There are a total of 4 clutch packs in your transmission and hold about 20 friction plates in total, If they were slipping or worn out, then you would have high rpm with less drive, which is the opposite of what you have - you have no engine torque to spin the transmission. I dont understand that you say it works when moving, Have you not driven a proper diesel LC?? It should tear off its rear tires.Without the engine in good tune the transmission cannot work at all, Low fuel supply to the diesel pump caused by a dirty fuel filter or a bad vane pump inside the IP will cause a great loss of power, Also note that if the internal pressure of the pump is messed up by the return banjo bolt it will also show the same problems as low fuel. For testing you can get a cheap inline fuel pump and make it feed the IP - also ensure that the pump timing is correct, all nozzles spraying at exact same pressure (depends on the engine type), the engine is atleast at 90*C temperature (half gauge) - a cold diesel engine will not make any power, the EGR is not stuck open or corroded (block it off completely) and the valve clearances (tappets) are at correct clearance.

can the engine idle itself correctly with A/C in original setup - which has no idle up dashpot on the pump. The engine itself has enough torque at idle to handle the A/C compressor load.

Bro just get ur tranny serviced, and get it done by a proper mechanic who knows trannies inside out. If u cant find a mechanic i can hook u up with mine. I cant exactly understand ur propblem but it could be anything from a damaged tranny cable faulty converter to a choked up filter.
