    Default Toyota Surf vs Others

    Dear PW users,

I want to buy a car which can easily accommodate 6-7 people, strong/powerful and not so expensive.
I have narrowed down my choice to Toyota Surf [Used of course].

Which model should be good if I go to buy a used one?
Any other good alternative to Toyota Surf.
How about availability of spare parts?
If I get one used around 150,000 km,, is it ok??

    waiting for replies

how about 96 model?? is it worth buying or should i select 2000 above??

    thanks
    best regards

    Bilal

Well i would say it depends on your budget and need actually. Surf 96' is a good model as i can see u need it for family purpose. But i think u should consider 98 99 Prado aswell . I own one, very comfortable, nice grip etc and for me better than Surf. As for the 2000+ models ill say u should go for them if u have that kind of budget because the older the car more maintenance problems. And the 96 Prado and Surf has the 1kz that means no more than 5 to 6 km in city. Expensive on the consumption side . Although have no experience on the 96 Surf consumption but i assume its the same because they have the same engine .

And yeah above or near 150,000 km is not a good choice . Ill say under 70 its just an opinion. Parts are available for both vehicles.
