    Unimog:

    Unimog is a range of multi-purpose auto four wheel drive medium trucks produced by Mercedes-Benz, a division of Daimler AG. The name Unimog is pronounced [ˈuːnɪmɔk] in German and is an acronym for the German "UNIversal-MOtor-Gerät",Gerät being the German word for machine or device. Daimler Benz took over manufacture of the Unimog in 1951 and they are currently built in the Mercedes truck plant in Wörth am Rhein in Germany. Another Mercedes-Benz Türk A.Ş. plant assembles Unimogs in Aksaray, Turkey. Unimogs were also built in Argentina until the first years of the 1980s, in the González Catán factory. (Courtesy www.     Design
    Unimogs have very high ground clearance made possible by portal gears that allow the axles and transmission to be higher than the tires' centers. Unimogs also feature a flexibleframe that allows the tires a wide range of vertical movement to allow the truck to comfortably drive over extremely uneven terrain, even boulders of one metre in height. They are equipped with high visibility driving cabs to enable the operator to see the terrain and more easily manipulate mounted tools. The newest Unimog models can be changed from left-hand drive to right-hand drive in the field to permit operators to work on the more convenient side of the truck. The ability to operate on highways enables the Unimog to be returned to a home garage or yard to thwart vandalism.

    pomi dear, as i said earlier that i know everyone in Doka squad from the day they were thinking of buying a Mog and i was involve with these gentlemen throughout their project and never met you. you should ask the squad who am I? then you need not to ask again (Please clarify this).

    do you find a difference between "Rahat Baker" and "Rahat Bakery"? these are 2 different entities in disguise. and as my friend @fouadhafeez rightly said that its a matter of decency and giving respect.

    lets not get into this anymore, our focus should be more on promoting and saving Mogs and bring them under Mogs community.

    Default UNIMOG: DOKA conversion

    The only disadvantage in a MOG is the Claustrophobic feeling the driver imbibes, because the hard top or canvas top is coming up right behind the drivers head!
    It is very reasonable to convert it into Double Cab configuration for better driving environment. There are some problems though: I do not know if Syed Brothers have mentioned them to you
    1. Firstly, it is important to keep the body reasonably STOUT & STRONG. Otherwise, it will keep squeaking on the off-road terrain, which it is so capable of handling in its present configuration
    2. Secondly, it is important to estimate the weight distribution, and its consequences, which may affect its true off-road capabilities. The present boot of the vehicle is very heavy, and reducing this load may alter the off-road grip and handling of the vehicle.
    3. thirdly, it is important to keep under consideration the overall length of the vehicle, as the DOKA model appears smaller than the full truck body version that the military is auctioning. 128 L, ?


    We have some limited experience with MOGS and would love to see it restored to a beautiful finish.

    What is this???Doka Project or Dhoka Project?As far as we know,Basharat and Adeel were the ones who made people introduced to the Mog scene here in Pakistan clling it their Punga Project but do they also own this project?If not then why its called Doka Project for making Doka is not that big a deal at all.I think the big deal was the Punga itself to save the Mogs in Pakistan.I myself am into 4wd scene for the last 2 decades I believe and have end up owning 8 hardcore 4wd machines including 4 mogs as well which are in the process of various stages of its birth but I dont think I can end up saying 4 different names for 4 different Mogs and Hijack the whole concept of Team Unimog....Sorry to say but ethics and morals are something which one should look for in such matters.Your vehicle could be certainly a good vehicle in its own might but not a punga or any rocket science for that matter!Wait till you see the next Pungas of Team Unimog Pakistan!!I fully support Faud Hafiz for what he has endorsed above.

    What a funny color is this btw?I think MB doesnt profess such gaudy colors on their machines..The Doka looks absolutley blanc in this color?Who is idea was this?Certainly he would been not blind I guess!lols!
