    With a good engine, nice seats, good rims & wheels your jeep would be about Rs.300,000 with 4x4 working.
    I mean if its in a perfectly restored condition.

    B-2 engine would cost about Rs.40-50K however I would suggest you to go for a 1KZ-TE thats a 3000cc inline 4Cyl engine that comes in Toyota Surf and its much more powerfu than a B-2 and less bulky than the 6Cyl B-2.

    You can get a good one from Peshawar with a 5-Speed manual gear for about 80 to 90K

    a friedn who was recently considering doing his Fj-40 was also told by every jeep nut to fit a 1KZ-TE as it was the best option for his car so i'll also back aridsouls vote for that engine. prive is around 90,000 last time my friend checked (before bargaining).

    if you change the engine in your FJ40, do you have to amend the engine number on your car documents? If so how do you go about doing that, and what if the engine you buy from peshawar or wherever is listed in some database as stolen or whatever how do you check that? And any other info just curious, thanks!

    So no one answered my question lol been quite a while.

    1. How do you go about changing the engine, ie finding one in peshawar and knowing its not "stolen" etc and then updating the documents? Also do you have to change the transmision if you put a new engine on?

    2. Also my FJ40 (actually BJ40) is VERY bumpy, I changed the shocks and bushings and steering stabilizer but its still a very uncomfortable ride if the road isnt completely flat. Is this just normal?

    @yoboy

    1. When you buy an engine.. you get a receipt.. that you get counter checked/verified by local 15 office for engine being stolen... the registration docs get amended when u submit an application along with the verified receipt and fee..simple.
    Transmission might be required to be changed depending on ratios. e.g. with the origional B1 setup, if you swap 1KZT, its a good idea to swap transmission and diff off similar vehicle to keep ratios intact.

    2. Jeeps are inherently bumpy. If you are are city rider and dont load ur jeep much, then you can remove a spring from the kamani/leaf spring. this is the only way to make is a bit less bumpy... a bump is ok in a jeep i guess
