    Dear @bmniazi,

I doubt that you can restore a Wrangler in 300,000, i would recommend that you start with a FJ 40 Army auction, grab it, fix it up. this would cost you around 250k approx. from there, keep on building it up from there. it comes with a stock 6 cyl 2F engine Petrol. very good 4x4 capabilities, comes with leaf springs, you may add shocks for a better ride.

As for Wrangler, you can grab a CJ7 and have the body work done to match wrangler style, there are people here in RWP who does this for a living. As for power plant, if you prefer Petrol, then 1uz is a good option, with matching transmission from the LC series. if you dig diesel, then i would highly recomend Ikz-TE.

Just a thought to get you started, good luck with your project.

    O thanks buddy

It was more than just a thought.

m gona go for diesel but have heard that 1kz-TE engines consume too much fuel.m not gona go for 4 wheel gear assembly. do i have any option for any economical diesel engine?

i really appreciate ur interest in guiding a dummy like me

Toyata 3CT (turbo) is a very popular choice
Toyota 3L (naturall aspirated / non turbo) is also popular

Not too sure about the the newer 5L. It should be ok but I've never met any one running it.
Also I think some people have concerns about the L engine's head.

In theory The 2L-II(naturally aspirated)/2LT/2L-IIT should be ok too, but again never experienced them first hand. Maybe because they are harder to find?
And there goes the Challenger, being chased by the blue, blue meanies on wheels.
