    Thanks for the detailed answers. I suppose my next question would be how to couple a Rocky gearbox with one of the most popular engine choices - the Toyota 3C-T (any other attractive options out there? Not too fond of the L series). Is some kind of an adapter needed? I suspect it's not an out-of-the-box bolt-on scenario..nah that would be too easy.
    And there goes the Challenger, being chased by the blue, blue meanies on wheels.

    It's been done already. My old M38 had a Rocky gearbox coupled to a 1C. The mechanic used a sand cast adapter ring to mate the Rocky bell housing to the engine. It's one of the best modifications you can do for your jeep. Ultra low 1st gear makes 'wheeling a breeze and the overdrive gear makes getting there a lot quicker.
