Default How would you Compare BMW X5 (1st gen 1999 to 2006) against Land Cruiser 80 series

    Dear All,

How would you compare the first generation (1999 - 2006) BMW X5, specifically the 3.0 Diesel version against the 4.2 diesel version of the toyota Land Cruiser 80 series (1989 - 1997).

The comparison is only to be based on models available in Pakistan

Comparison in which field? If you're talking about off-roading, drive quality, maintenance and overall drive comfort the BMW doesn't stand a chance.

I would love to hear from 4x4 club rather than city users.
Almost everyone in Pakistan is doing corruption to the extent they can. Our leaders are doing at the level they can do. So why should we complain?

brother you are comparing newer with older model.

i have experienced newer model of LC.. it would be better if u compare. LC5 2006 with X5 2006 being same year of production.

toyota's are more durable.. bmw is more of luxury..

i never liked LC for long journey's but X5 yes more comfortable. for long drives.
hardly offroad i am LC will perform better.

go for x5 if u are not an offroading fan

according to me x5 is better than lc in the models u have mentioned but if u compare both lc 100 v8 with x5 x5 can never come near to v8 because 100 is quiet comfortable and really gud for off road i have used both cars but according to me lc 100 definitely better than x5 but its been while i have used lc 80 but it wast that much comfortable and was quiet bumpy.
