Question 1uz-Fe with Pajero OR Safari ?

I'm looking forward in assembling 1uz-fe engine to Mitusbishi PAJERO Gen. 1 OR Nissan Safari Gen. 1 ?

Which of those 2 models should i keep for Long term basis in terms of Daily comfort city drive with good MPG + a family SUV & no off-road & heavy work/towing etc.

I have to keep only 1 Tuff vehicle for long time while sell off the other.
It's a very hard decision to make.
which vehicle should be kept regarding easy availability of parts etc.
i want a tuff vehicle , rather than a ride which keeps bringing pain.

I want help/suggestions from all of you.

    Vehicle History: Pajero 1 & 2 (4d55 Non-Turbo - 4d56 Turbo & 4M40 I-C Turbo) / Land Cruiser BJ60(13B-T Turbo) / Nissan Patrol GQ(Td422 Non-Turbo)

For your requirements, honestly I would suggest you to sell both of these and buy yourself a neat LC with original engine.

1UZ-FE is not very suitable for Pajero Gen 1 at all. Its quite good match for Nissan Patrols in general, but you have to look at your overall requirements to see if this is the engine you really want to go for. Generally in conversions, because of the significant power and torque it puts out, unless someone really knows what he is doing it is likely to end up being a high maintenance conversion one way or the other...

Clean 1kz 70 series will be best option here

Or 1uz or 5vz in surf will do fine.

Thnx-A-Lot to all of you for ur time/suggestions/opinions & support! I respect & honor all ur advice & have taken into consideration.

I was thinking for this setup:
Nissan Safari with 1uz / 1jz OR any other fuel economical+powerful engine with automatic gearbox.
    What do you say?
besides what about the other parts of Safari besides engine? are they all available easily?

yesterday i was comparing the 2 vehicles in an off-road track + mud/water & soft sand.
The test was done using 7 passengers seated.

Mitsubishi Pajero Gen 1. Vs. Nissan Safari Gen. 1

    Remarks:
Pajero was light, & swifty in handling over sand, mud & mixed terrain with ups n downs. Very comfortable, & proved to be Real off-road vehicle, without any doubt! no more explanation needed. Without even using 4x4, It did very well thru out, i tried hard to get it stucked, but it didn't.

Safari was quite heavy & difficult to handle, needs tuff hands and experienced drivers. I had to keep up momentum to pace up the terrain. It got stuck in heavy mud, had to use 4x4 here & was OK. swifty power re-generation over soft mud sand was quite hard & overall not at all comfortable ride if compared to pajero in overall terrain.

    Therefore, Pajero Wins.
I did'nt wanted to, but it really is engineered for perfection.

in my opinion if one have only the obove three choices than the option one only seems workable only if the engine is in good form. and the all other option have problems..

sadly 1KZ is not a ideal match as the generation one have very calculated space for its tranny so its difficult to fix another gear box with bigger housing with out any cutting..
