i agree with you. 4,200 cc becomes a dangerous category.

@fouadar brother in army auction jeep cc is not written in auction papers.so you can write it 2500cc if u have reference which will reduce total cost and yearly token aswell.and try to register it in islamabad because ur annual renewal fee will furtherly reduce.
I registered mutt for 11000 and renewal fee was 2000 per year.also ETO gave me relaxation of 4500 per year jo k mujhe ten year tak submit karwana tha lakin with one signature this tax was removed

Yea I and the choice of having 2500cc but that makes it dodgy engine number you give is 4,2 and papers is 2.5 customs can seize such vehicles.
With fake engine CC or wrong info they can say this car is stolen or etc

yes that can be a case because i think on fj40 on chasis plate cc is written.but second option is islamabad registered cars and jeeps have lower renewal fee compared to lahore and peshawar.thats sure.also people say value increases due to islamabad registeration

Original engine in my FJ is reconciled with the documents and I paid PKR 17,600/- annual tax last week after some sort of discount of PKR 1,000/-. I heard that anything above 2500 CC, amounts are same. I personally feel that this is too much for a 30 years old vehicle which, in my case, is not being used so regularly.

In case of auction vehicles - Registration fee, annual Tax and token will be calculated based on the year of registration. NO matter how old the Year of manufacture is. And the bigger portion of this annual fee is income tax.

There is no escape however you can claim / adjust this amount in your personal annual tax return.

    Enjoy

And auction voucher date was from Feb 2012 and as said above, registration was done in September. As far as I remember, total of around PKR 34,000/- was submitted including late registration fines/penalties.

registration with 4200cc, annual token 384, annual with-holding tax 8000, so annually you have to pay 8384, out of which 8000 can be reclaimed if you file your tax returns.

Actually sir there are two things, one is engine capacity and the other is year of registration, my HJ60 is 3980cc, 6 cyl, but it got regd back in 1992, token tax reduces after 10 years of registration and decreases further after 20 years. That's why we face this problem for army auctioned vehicles being regd newly and have to pay much secondly, Islamabad token is way less as compared to Punjab.
