Default Original BJ40, my first 4x4!! newbie need help

    Hi there,
I have just bought an original BJ40, it has BJ on chassis number. It has a B2 engine, 4 speed manual. It has no modifications except prado alloy rims. No ac, no power steering as of yet.
This is my first 4x4, and I'm very proud to belong to the 4x4 pakwheelin' community.
I am a complete newbie, I have noticed that their is an oil leak from the sump, below engine ? Oil chamber leak. Also it is difficult to engage the gears, there is also a leak from one of the front ends, ? Birfield joint.
I would like to know of any good mechanics that could sort out these issues. I am currently residing in Islamabad dha phase 2.
Could someone please let me know of any trustworthy mechanics nearby?
I am looking to keep this bj 40 fairly stock. I would like to change the manual transmission to a 5 speed..am wondering whether to get a h155 unit or h151, h150?? Very unsure, or whether to recondition the original 4 speed gearbox??? Any ideas??
I would like to get the B2 engine checked over and tuned up..any ideas?
I will be adding a snorkel in due course.
I will also add in power steering, which is the best type of power steering for this? The steering is very wobbly at present, steering stabilizer also?
I would appreciate any input and approx. Costings of above additons.
I will, Inshallah, do a bit of offroading, nothing hardcore like the IJC boys!!
The vehicle will mainly be used on the road, and gaining access to waterways, lakes, etc. I am a keen fisherman, also will use it to explore the northern areas. Any recommendations to make vehicle more reliable would be appreciated..
I think I've rambled enough so far, lol.
over to you guys for any ideas.
    thanking you all in advance.

    Which model is it?
What's the condition of the existing gear?
