    Default 1983 FJ40 / BJ40 Toyota LandCruiser Resurrection

So we have a rare 1983 LandCruiser with factory AC, diesel. 3B Engine. The thing is a monster and I have seen quite a few but not many 1983 models especially with factory AC.

It developed an engine fault 4 years ago and has been sitting since. We finally decided to stick with the original engine rather than go for a swap. Changed all the Pistons and sleeves and camshaft and numerous other parts and had the entire engine rebuilt.

Still waiting for it to be fully connected and will be doing the first restart today, pretty exciting.

All that is left is to add power steering (any advice appreciated), new seats for the driver and passenger as they are uncomfortable (advice?), and transmission possibly changing out later on?

It is also a 24 Volt system, the lights are not so bright, any idea how to go about making the lighting better?

Indeed a rear car to find a BJ42 I guess.....

Regarding the steering get the original Power steering do not do any alterations, Number 2. Seats, again I will recommend to stay as close to stock as possible.

P.S. We need more pics here...

Will post some more pictures once have it cleaned up.

Is the original power steering setup available in the market?

Seats: The stock seats are pathetic, no support at all and very uncomfortable.

This one is called a BJ42?
