Unhappy Heat up issue Mini Pajero 20 valve 660c Automatic Turbo

    Aoa,

I have recently purchased mini pajero which now has heat up issue on ac the heat gauge goes more than half and car starts dropping rpm like its not getting fuel properly. I have checked oil filter and other filters for fuel tank serviced and replaced radiator but the problem still is still there.

    Any suggesstions?

Also, can anyone suggest me where I can take it for complete check up in Karachi? I mean computerized check up.

the rpm starts dropping because its goes into dafe shutdown short of mode, what radiator have you changed with is it with oem double nail or double core radiator ?, are you using coolant, is fan auto? try changing the radiator cap if you haven't already many problems can b sorted that way and i have seen that if ac of mini pajero has high head pressure it causes the car to heat up quite easily with ac on, is your problem with ac on?
i am a mini pajero owner myself been through all of this and fixed everything
for computerised checkup goto anybody with a scanner and he will check it for you, note the error codes if any, don't simply erase everything , mostly cng mechanics have scanners

I don't trust cng mechanics they just want to make easy money and will suggest anything... I will check ac gas pressure as you suggested in other forum as well and will take it for computerized checkup...radiator cap is the one that comes with orignal that has R** something mentioned on it I will try posting a pic so u can see the cap...
Thanks for your response, I will take it to AC guy and computer scan and will post the update

thanks for update check ac gas pressure and post the low pressure and high pressure readings here, check if the belt that drives the compressor and water pump is tight and not slipping, post pic of radiator cap, a oem radiator has written MR_____ something number on the top cover of fan, when you replaced the radiator did you change the cap or is it original, and plus have you ever cleaned the condenser, even slight pressure water does get some dirt loose from the fins and makes the difference in cooling and performance in heat, even though you can't clean these new condesonrs like the old ones

Thank you Arzaam and SER for your response, I'l get the condensor and ac pressure check over weekend and will post the update.

As per last owner, the car was in parking for over two months so it could be dirt or simply condenssor fan not working, Also the blower does not run on third level, it only goes upto 1 and 2 so may there is some sensor or wire which is getting heat up or something and causing the car to heat up, so I'll take it for inception for AC and will post update here.

    Thanks again

So I got it checked form Khan motors today who simply refused to do anything to the car as he said that the heat up issue is a forever problem and will come back no matter what you do but he suggested to get the water body check as I have already done everything else including changing the radiator so he said that once you check the water body you will know if the thermostat is working properly or not plus the condition of water body, if that's not the issue than open the head of the car or change engine to 1100 or keep running the car without using A/c.

sorry for overlooking here, its absurd that they say its a forever problem, it the company designed it with ac then it would run with ac and not overheat, mine is 1996 i use ac all the time even while idling for half and hour and temp gauge goes to half in stop start traffic and slightly below half while cruising at speed,

now your problem, first of all get the thermostat valve back or your engine will die soon, mini pajero are especially nazuk when it comes to operating temp, check the valve before putting in, from the pics yes the radiator is original mitsubishi part however change the cap i tried this cap in mine and the valves wouldn't work properly, suggest you to try different 0.9 bar caps, also the size seems bigger then what is required i think the problem would be solved by changing the cap as you have already changed the radiator,

no need to open head if there is no oil in reservoir bottle or coolant in oil or white smoke, no matter what mechanic says, plus check for leaks whats the coolant level does it decrease?, when you replaced the radiator did you get single nail one or double nail one? what coolant are you using, what dilution ratio

i had exact same issue with my pajero mini, it was solved by changing radiator to double nali and toyota premixed american coolant, installed thermostat valve and changed the fan clutch as somebody had welded it direct, also flushed the radiator pipes channels etc, and also cleaned the condenser, now no problem
