    Default Suzuki Sj410 (LWB) Engine

    Suzuki Sj410 LWB Engine -1508525
    Hello Pakwheelers!
I have planned to upgrade my Suzuki Sj410 engine. The current setup is Margalla's engine with 5fwd Suzuki sierra gear, but the engine is too weak now and not giving the power i need. So both Petrol and Diesel engines are under consideration for conversion. The engine i am looking for should be powerfull as well as fuel efficient. Eagerly waiting for your comments and suggestions.Thank you. @Noman8ff: Sir plz share ur experiences in this regard.

Salam brother. the stock engine for this veh was mostly 1000cc and u r running a 1300cc which is weak. So the best option would be to go for the same 1300 kabli engine. Preferably the carborated one, unless your last engine was EFI and has the EFI wiring properly working. Diesel engine should be the last priority and that to only a 1N. 1C and 2C are powerful and fuel efficient but are very heavy for this veh so in a way you'll loose the grip and balance of yr veh. So the only choice is of 1C.

Brother the tendency in our mechanics is that as they see the engine, they tell u that u r running a margalla engine. Basically japan have fixed this engine in both jimny, sierra, samurai, margalla and surely in many other cars around. So actually u were previously also running the jimny engine in yr sj 410 with it's original 5 fwd gear. The difference is that in margalla it's fixed side ways and in jimny they are fixed from front to rear.
Just change the engine g13 and make life easy for u. The fuel efficiency will be around 10km/ ltr on long. And the price of kabli 5 fwd gear will be around 30k. no exact idea about the engine, surely 1 lac plus.
Were u initially using an EFI or simple engine?

Thanx again for icreasing my info about g13 engines.
The engine currently installed is non efi one.
its decreasing oil but gives around 10km/ltr on long running but felt it weak while off-roading.
The jeep also doesn't go beyond 80km/hr on highway.
I am using 16" non directional tyres (general)
Which is the best tyre size/profile for this jeep on road and sand.
    * tyres in pic are earlier

Yes, 16" tyre size is the best having the best of diameter for a 100cc and 1300cc engines. I will suggest not to go for an EFI engine. You know the reason as our electricians have limitations, and than it will take you 6 months to fully get over all electrical issues. A CDI distributor is going to work better. Either get it overhauled or go for a kabli 1300cc.
For the limited top speed, can u pls let me know the following
    1. What diffs are you running? The stock sj 413 mostly had the 9:37.
    2. Do you have alloys or steel rims?
    3. Do you have an RPM in yr car? And what's the readings when you are on 80km/ hr?

    A big LoL :p
i dont how n who told you guys that these engines are costly...they r cheap....
bro i suggest u to Go for G15 sohc distributor.... u can find it in 55k with wiring and easily fixed with the jimny's 1.3 gear 5 speed. dohc engines are of high compression and they got coil issues while when they get more heatup n makes the coil to get melt n thn missing problem and a coil set cost u 10k lol....
a distributor engines become more powerfull when they get more heatup..... G15 is around 103 hp ....m15 ignis sports also a good option got 109 hp v powerfull engine....but the same prob goes up....coil issues lol ....sooo i suggest u to change the hissaas of jeep to 1300cc jimny sierra orginal hissas in order to work properly otgerwise if u r running on 1000cc hisaas thn no point to go for g15 or m13 or g13 cuz it will not give u top speed to max.

I think your are just idiot all info you share is wrong I DOHC m series engine have coil problem but it can be over come by using irridium plugs I have seen a guy have use m13a engine in his liana for 200,000 + km and it was still strong he just changed it becoz he need more power he swapped it with m18a which costs 75k with complete engine un cut wiring and how told you g series engine doen't have coil issue I have seen many baleno with city coil as baleno coil are hell expensive

If i am not wrong then swift m13a and jimny ones are a bit different, secondly the rwd gear of sj410 does not directly mate to m13. for perfect mating jimny gear is needed which costs 1lac or 2 if i recall correctly

    2. I have installed 16" steel rims with General non directional tyres.
    3. In 4th gear on 5000rpm it goes upto 90km/hr and as i shift to 5th gear, it comes down to 80km/hr on 35000rmp.
Salam brother. If yr veh model is 85/ 86/ 87 it must be with a 9:37 diff with which the rpm should not be 5000 on 90km/ hr. It looks either the model is older or u are running the older model diffs. may be 8:37 which is very low resulting in more rpm.
Secondly do check the electrical issues and the current (distributor) timings settings and the 1300 should at least run till 120/ 130 km hr.
    Tyre size is perfect.

Noman bhai i rechecked diffs, they r 9:37.
Two months ago i blown gasket while offroading then replaced it.
Before that vehicle was running fine and was going upto 120 to 130km/hr.
Tyres then i was using were 175/80 R15 (stock rims)
But as the G13a engine replacement is finalized, plz help me on follwing quries:
. Should i change diffs also to get proper power and milage?
. I need wider tyres. Which size/profile will suite best both on road and offroad.( specially on sand)?
. How to upgrade its suspension?
    Thank you
