Default Toyota Vigo Champ 4x4 issue...

I've just bought Toyota indus Vigo Champ, when I try to put 4x4 lever in H4 mode, it shifts perfectly fine but when I try put it in L4 mode then it makes noise then I have to push it hard to put in L4 mode. Is there any special direction to put in L4 mode? Why does it make noise while shifting in L4 mode? Plz do help...

    Arrow Owner's manual

If there is some precaution to take, it is mentioned in the owner's manual.
Generally to shift into H4 or L4 you should be rolling very slowly, like 2km/h to 5 km/h, the system would would not work if you try doing this at 0 km/h.

In the newer models, you can shift H2 to H4 and vice versa at upto 100 km/h, I'm not sure if the advised speed is 2 km/h upto 100 km/h or it would shift even at standstill.

Also not sure about H4-L4 and L4-H4 selection. You could check it on 3 km/h and update.

I'm actually doing it at idle yaar means standing position. I'll try your opinion at 3 - 5 KM of speed and then check and let's see if its making noise or not. Thanks
P.S and my vehicle is 2k on ODO
