    Default suzuki sj410 4age silvertop swap

    My dream to get a part in chollistan desert jeep rally in jimny 1.3 to 1.6 category (D) thats y I have buyed a suzuki jeep 85 model steel body which is converted to soft top. Currently it got 2c engine in it with some unknown big long gearbox. i want to make a serious power under the hood with no issues so it will help meh in qualifying the track in the deep dunes without power loss. i am thinking to put a 4age silvertop 168 hp in my suzuki jeep and i want you guys to help meh with the conversion like:

    1. which gearbox will best fit to the 4age engine and relieble too....
    (someone told me to cope with t50 ae82 rear wheel drive gear with straight bolt fit up) second option is hilux or surf gear or w58 rwd supra 2500cc gear.
    2. second probem is which 4x4 gear will be able to fit??? surf or hilux 1 or oringal suzuki sierra 8v 4x4 gear???
    i know if we fit 16 value jimny or elk model gear with the engine with a plate thn 4x4 gear will directly fit to it..
    3. which shaft and differential should be used??? the orignal sierra 1 will b ok but its under power and chance to break. many people suggested the hilux shaft and differential but its noisy due to it wieght and bigger and it touches the body which creates noise but its very strong as compared to orignal differential.

    plx help meh with this conversion i shall be very thankful to u guys. m really dipressed :-(
    i dun wana go with the suzuki engines as they r under power and when they get hot coils melt up and speacially dohc engines starts missing up and gti 1.6 baleno 1 too get missing when it gets hot....
    they r max 113 hp peak but 4age will be the most killing thing cux of its high reviving and toyota engines does not have these coils heating issues too...

    :-) i am waiting for u guys to help in order to start my project asap :-)

    i dun washed the engine and its look ugly but lot of stuff hidden inside .......
    well i used to change oil every 1500 km/h and my engine still v clean from inside n uses fully synthatic oil

    get coils properly connected the problem with this coils car that they bust if loss connected BTW still if your mechanic is not skilled enough to handle these coil change them with santro or lancer coil the M series engine are used in off roading vehicle like jimny etc so they are reliable and tough as rock but if not handled properly the engine starts giving problem probably the heating engine could be due to air lock in coolant have seen more than dozens of cases where ppl don't pump the air out and get there gaskit burnt becoz of overheating BTW m15a is a proper performance engine used in suzuki SX4

    yeah urite....its not abt the mechanic bro..its abt urself...if racing becomes ur passion thn u also need to know wot under the hood of ur car n every aspect ...iv changed the bloody coils many tymz the kabli one but sucks after 3 months n chNged dozen of coils...n i use colant only....and for the plugs i use ngk plantanium G power ....
    irradium ka faida nae...coils pehlay hi itni garam ho jati hain irradium se over spark ho jani hain...thr is an electrion who said to meh that he will changed it with toyota gli coils while doing alteration well lets see hmmm

    this engine is more power full than m18 i dun know why but iv beated many m18's fully built

    BTW 4age also have waste sprak system not sure about silvertop but blacktop is for sure waster sprak you will face the same coil heating issue

    Not sure if 4age can be a good choice cause its a torque less engine. All the torque that this baby has got comes at a very high RPM after 5.5 K. Even Toyota 4K has better torque at low RPMs. I am not a SUV expert but my guess is that in SUV you need the RPMs early to move the vehicle.
    In case if 1600cc is your limit it look like to me that 4AGZE will be Much Much better engine for your application as its much torquer engine but I may be totally wrong as SUV is not my area of expertise and there are always a lot of variable involved.

    And Best of luck in finding the differential and other gear parts. Another thing for your information is that Toyota T50 is a gear box that comes with many Toyota cars and although each of them have same internals the outer casing (Bell Housing ) have different Bolt patterns.
    A 4AGE 20 V can only be mated with a Corolla AE86 T50 bell housing or corolla AE72 bell housing for any other T50 bell housing you will need to get an adapter plate fabricated for mating the gear box with the engine.

    not an suv expert but i do own SJ410 original soft-top as well, swapped with g13bb 16v with jimny's diff and 4x4 gear! believe me its been more than 2 years now and i never faced any problem on coils or anything just kept it properly maintained, g13 is a fun to drive in this little thing, it never let me down. what i think is this totally depends on quality of swap done! 4age is a good choice but tbh you really don't only have to keep an eye on hp figures, have you thought on suspension? how will you make it stable? did you even think on power to weight ratio ? ohh and how can you forget torque? you are considering a 4x4 thing not a drag car you need torque on lower rpms! there are alot many choices available m13 from a jimny is a good option even g13 or g16 aint bad just find a clean motor and swap it properly that would be much easier! if you want more power than simply built them or even if you do port/polish job on head, bigger injectors, bigger tb, ported intake mani, light weight pullies, chipped ecu etc and most important a proper tune that would be really enough? wont it? a month back even i myself planned to swap in some bigger motor searched and discussed with many persons first i was thinking on 4th gen 3s-gte manual but soon i had to drop this idea as we need torque here, 3sge beams blacktop (5th-gen auto) is really a nice choice if you plan to go bigger as this motor provides all the torque at 4k rpms and that's what you need and don't forget 197hps on stock. even 3sfe is not a bad option and regarding differential i did search on them and rav4 diff are available in bilal ganj that is the best choice with 3s!
    and yeah if you can contact mean 4x4 machine guys here in Lahore they can guide you best i would say rather they are doing a project on sj410 with 5vz-fe! yes you heard me right 3400cc out of a surf

Isn't this the same owned by guy awais in bwp ? i wont say anything on power-train but my 2 cents on car's exterior make it presentable don't rice it please, remove that huge bench from back, take of those fiber bumper get a quality paint job done keeping it decent yet different from rest
