Dear brother, I want to share my experience of Aluminum spacers. In March 2008, I had brand new Liana while I was in Jauharabad. Because of bumpy roads and non-standard speed breakers combined with insufficient road clearance of Liana, I fitted the car with 1'' Al spacers on all 4 wheels. The matter of car hitting from beneath was resolved but at a price. And the price was frequent wearing out of axle joints (Godas), short-living rubber bushes of front suspension, less road grip of front tires giving a bit deficient brake and frequent failure of axle oil-seals resulting in leakage of c-oil from the oil-seals. Reason: the axles spin continuously one inch down to its normal position. I used that car, to the limit, till April 2016 and drove it almost 350,000 km. And, I spent countless money on maintenance of its axles and front suspension. No doubt, Liana is notorious with respect to maintenance, no doubt, I used it like hell (350,000 km in 8 years). Still, those spacers played quite negative roll in the misery. Now, I am in Islamabad and I have brand new Honda City since April 2016. Again, this car has very poor road clearance. Again, I had to resort to 1'' Al spacers (got them from Taxila, as my residence in B-17 is close to Taxila). After spacers, I felt difference in road grip and braking efficiency. Since April 2016, this city has covered 29000+ km and the oil-seal of front axle has started drop-wise leakage. Now, In Sha Allah, I shall change the tires that came along the vehicle and shall replace them with large tires thus gaining 1'' extra height so that I could remove the spacers. So, think again, do you really need Al spacers in your Prado??
