Hey guys,
So after keeping many 4x4 rigs of the last 6 years which include:
- 1986 Range Rover (Diesel, 1KZ)
- 1987 TLC 60 Series (Diesel, 3B)
- 1990 Nissan Patrol (Diesel, TD42)
- 1990 TLC 80 Series (Diesel, 1HD-T)
- 1992 TLC 80 Series (Petrol, 1FZ-FE)
- 2003 Toyota Hilux Tiger (Diesel, 1KZ-TE)
- 2003 Toyota Hilux Tiger (Diesel, 1KD-Turbo) and now a
- 1996 Toyota Prado (Diesel, 1KZ-TE with Intercooler)
In all my experience, one thing is for sure, diesel power is the way to go! Wish I could've kept all these beauties in my driveway at home
This '96 Prado TX Limited comes with a 1KZ-TE Intercooler engine, automatic transmission, sunroof and the other usual stuff like 7 seats, '2nd Start' and 'ECT/PWR' option.
So far all maintenance works and mechanicals have been dealt with. New suspension, new turbo, new tyres (Yokohama Geolander AT-S), all oils changed (engine, transmission, 4x4, diffs), new front grill, new tail lights, new headlights. You guys know the drill
Future plans include:
- Snorkel - DONE
- Custom front bullbar - DONE
- Roof lights/LED bar - DONE
- Lift-kit (maybe)
- Paint/vinyl body wrap (maybe)
So here are some pics of the current baby. Looking forward to turning it into a beast eventually. The road is long...
Enjoy!
