    Salam Alaikum guys,

    This is a very kool informative and exciting thread... I dont like posting much but this made me post coz its very very exciting. I live in sharjah, though originally i am from lahore. Its so unfortunate that in sharjah there are no rules which allow such projects and there are'nt much available as well. I am planning vacations in this years last quarter and i plan to take up one such project. Could u guys guide me on the budget and the right places in lahore city itself.

    Cheers to all n keep up the good work.

    Syed Salman

    @nowornever

    Thanks

    It is hard to find this model in this shape nowadays. Most of these are modified heavily. There are many more such Jeeps in Karachi & interior Sindh than in Lahore.

    Meanwhile, the body was being painted, original propeller shafts bought from Bilal Ganj.

    Shafts resized to accomodate the re-location of engine & drive train i.e., rear shaft lengthened and front shaft shortened.

    New US made crosses fitted and shafts installed.

    @a_k
    You have sharp eyes! Yes, the project was started long ago and it took a long time.

    Thanks Fahad,

    This M38 looks in very nice condition. Is it petrol? I tried to find an original petrol engine for my jeep but could not find one.

    Congratulations on having an M38 as gift. You are one lucky guy!

    @saad
    Petrol Engine here in Pk is not feasible as in some parts of Northern area Diesel is only available fuel for automotives.

    n Also Diesel got more Torque thn Petrol so Diesel DIesel as we have also Maulana Diesel :-P
