    @Sajjidd
    For us humans , could you kindly elaborate as to what was added. It seems that additional shocks were installed, or Undercarriage was repaired or steel shielding was used to protect engine bay from mud or something. Am I right?

    @Sajjidd
    Bhai, dont be sorry. It seems that I was right (ofcourse by using three guesses)

    Anyways, what is the advantage. I suppose Land Rover has enough ground clearance (or seems to have) and "stock" shocks seems to be sterdy enough.

    Hello Bk,

    Yes your guess was correct.

    The ride quality on stock shocks and springs provided in these Pak assembled Defenders is very hard. In fact too hard for any kind of daily use.

    I upgraded to Old Man Emu Springs and Shocks that gave me a much softer ride quality and much better handling.

    However of late I have been thinking of participating in a rally or two, and for that purpose the EMU shocks were bit too soft and thus I needed secondry shocks not just to make the ride bit sturdy but also as second line of defence incase in harsh rally condition a shock breaksdown.

    To add the secondry shocks, I had to create space between the tire and the chasis/ body on the front as the tires were touching the shocks when turning.

    And thus I had to get spacers made to move the tires out just a bit. This increased the over all foot print and also gave reduced center of gravity, which again has made a very positive impact on the over handling and ride quality of the landy.

    Join me for a ride if ever you are in Karachi.

    By way of this post I am hoping to lure Storm back on Pakwheels.

    @Sajjidd
    Thank you for the ride offer. Had it been made two years ago, I would have jumped right on (I was in Karachi back then on official transfer for a year and I work for a bank)

    Job well done I must say.

    Regards,

    Waqar

    P.S. Storm is a tough cookie and cannot be lured this easy. BTW worry not, he will be back on 7th Feb (Read his Avtar). Right now he has gone to collect his helmet back

    BK,

    You are welcome. Maybe next time you are out here and if I still have the landy we can go for a ride.

    Thanks for admiring the job..The landy is an on going project..in fact not just with me but with most landy owners..

    Hope to see Storm sahib on line soon..

    Shani ...the Intercooler is not worth the cost.
    I had it installed today and can hardly tell any difference.
    I will write to Allisport over the weekend and ask them
    exactly what kind of settings must be made to extract the maximum out of the intercooler. RIght now the difference is less than 5%.

    @Sajjid
    i m disappointed...may b the performance intercooler for air-conditioned vehicles is fitted as the extention with the already company installed intercooler and gives u less increase in bhp...but sajjid bhai u should ask the allisport people....Please note that some late 300 Tdi models have electronic tuning or E.D.C. (electronic diesel control). These vehicles will need to be fitted with an electronic tuning module
