Thats a good question...hmmm..where should i start from....well if ur asking me than i should tell u that m an adventure loving person.who likes hunting and for that u have to go off-road i mean not the normal roads....there r big bumps, there r small streams, there are small hills, there is mud and there are sometimes bolders....so in order to pass through all these terrrains i needed something which could pass them easily without any difficulty...for that i needed a 4x4 and not a normal car....4x4 means the vehicle whose all 4 wheels can get power from the engine and it is done through a transfer box attached to the main transmission box and 2 shafts, rear shafts gives pwer to the 2 rear wheels and and the front shaft gives power to the front 2 wheels when 4x4 gear is engaged...in older vehicles it was manual and now most of the vehicles have all time 4x4 ...normal cars or what we call4x2 means 4 wheels and power in only 2 wheels from the engine...either front 2 or the rear 2...it has more ground clearance than a regular cars as u have seen it..
My first 4x4 was a suzuki SJ410 back in 1994 (i think so)....in which i did a blunder that i put huge tyres and wheels ultimately during a hunting trip my gear box and the rear shaft screwed....so that was a lesson for me not to put burdon on a machine exceeding its limits......
After that i made a BJ40 which was an amazing 4x4 a 6cylinder diesel engine with an electronic gear box....it never let me down but one time during a wild boar chase we had to go into Peas Field which is always full of bumps.....without any exaggeration it was so bumpy that we jumped 2 to 3 feet in the air and i got disappointed with its suspension bcoz it was leaf spring or what we say in punjabi "KAMANI"......leaf springs are good for carrying loads but they r not at all smooth or comfortable.....
after that i searched alot for a comfortable 4x4 which most of my off-roader friends recommended was to buy a coil spring suspension off-roader.......and i had three options at that time either for an LJ70 land cruiser, M151 mutt or a defender...out of which i chose defender bcause it was available in soft top or u can get it soft top easily...all u have to do is get the roll bars and soft top made remove the roof and change the front screen hinges.....i changed its engine from 200tdi to 1kz toyota as it gives more power.....
Aaj ka lesson itna hi (if u have any questions feel free to ask ) (just kidding)
