    update.... engine prices have gone up... 3CT cost 40K plus now

    i hav been through the whole process

    Go for a CJ7... has a bit more space... install a prado dash with ac/heater evrything.

    go for a 2LT with complete prado gear, t case and differentials.

    or

    go for a 3CT with rocky setup

    im a not fan of 1KZ in any jeep that is meant for any offroad use... keep the jeep simple... no techies

    step 1.. find a jeep frame and body... frame has to be good... body can be easily repaired.

    i have heard that the mechanics and denters doesnt do the job in the given/agreed time frame and that u have to pursue them all the time. its not an easy job.
    safety first. always wear seatbelts.

    unfortunately thats true... a denter can delay ur project by a year... i have seen ppl's job being left over for months.

    its a lot of effort really..

    @RedBull_ar

    yes.. if you hav even little bit of techie mind... and love DIY jobs... you'll love the whole project.. i used to spent 2-3 hrs after work at workshop... many times till 11pm with the denter.. again it takes alot of time and money

    but the end product... a customized jeep.. buying one will never give u that pleasure drive... there are few good ones only.

    for your project i suggest get a body and frame with voucher... cheap start... for restoration buy a stock one... that has not been restored earlier... and go for a frame off restoration.

    and do visit #26 chungi near motorway turn in pindi... i heard jeeps are cheap these dayz... best time to buy
