    As far as i know there is no difference here's a proper explanation (All the B means is "brake". The old word for a dyno - because the engine torque was measured by applying a brake to the flywheel rather than a torque converter or electrical motor which is how it's done nowadays. There's no other difference between the two and they both just mean horsepower. )

    This is what I Had In Mind. Their is power loss. So BHP/Whp are always lesser than the Hp..

    cc is a different measure used for different purpose
    hp is different measure.

    2 different measures cannot be interchanged or converted.

    horsepower abbreviated as hp.
    brake horsepower abbreviated as bhp.. bhp is friction force at flywheel of the engine.

    bhp and hp both commonly used and meaning is same.

    for detailed topics use search feature,, the question has been answered a few times before.

    180 bhp is horsepower at flywheel of the engine.

    1hp= 1 HORSE power on real horse like if a carriage has one horse pullig it it will be 1hp= 1 horse power , ur vti generates 180 bhp=meaning 180 horses , and ur whp might be a little bit less cause WHP is the measure of the power which goes through the crankshaft then the axel and the the wheels so the power is decreased on the dyno a computer does a complex calculation of the car..lets take ur vti for example when u run on the dyno the computer measures the power in Kw and converts it into horses or ponies as i like to call them (correct me if i am wrong) if that doesn't help u then search google !

    xxxmadxxx and punk

    u both wrong

    hp=horse power,=power produced by engine

    bhp=brake horse power=power produced by engine but measured at the flywheel by puttin a retarding force, this is more accurate and usually lower than hp.

    whp=wheel horse power=power produced at wheels, this is wt u get at the wheels, including all losed in drivetrain, hence this is most accurate end output as drivetrian losses varies from car to car, this is wt u get when u dyno a car
