Hi Alvis!nice to know that a few people know STUDIBAKER,any ways have you had a ride in studibaker,i have driven Studibaker 1951 M34,6X6 and M36 beleive me i also drove
MERCEDES BENZ 2636,6X6 1984 but found STUDI the ultimate
off road machine
The Studebaker 'Reo' M series M38/9 to M42 were standard staple for Pak Army.
I have had a ride in one but only on a tarmac road. Great fun and a ride to remember.
The Mercedes 2628 6x6 is fantastic, which one did you drive the 6cylider or the 8. The latest version of the V8 are now producing 580HP at 1800 RPM and 1100Nm of torque at 1100RPM. What a joy this engine must be.
My khaloo had a Studebaker Commander way back in the mid 60's and that was my intro to Studebaker. They also had and still have a Studebaker Champion which is now in DI Khan.
the mercedes 2636 is v10 turbo charged 6X6, the studi i drove was M34 6x6 and M36 3live axles and drove alot in off road ,2636 i have drove the tractor only and with 60ton load its indeed a wonder machine never stops cruising what ever terrain.I did travel in Gaz jeep but couldnot drove any.
