    Default 4x4 extra Halogen Lights Help Required

    Dear All,
    For my new ride I have got two (Mirage Fighter Aircrafts Landing Lights) they are just like HIDS,Ultra White,Very powerfull, But one problem arises.They work on 24 Volts & my Rocky Battery is 12 Volts (125 Ampares).
    One local electrition adviced me that we can install one smaller battery & can create 24 Volts only for these lights.
    As they are like sealed beams we can not change the tubes.
    Need help & advices to resolve the issue.Plz reply on your earliest.
    Regards,
    fahad

    @aKIF/aLL,
    I have checked the specifications of the lights.Its 450 Watts,24 Volts......Now gide me can that local convertor available at college road can handle these lights....as in Air crafts they wont use them over 5 mins(on grond still position) as these lights produces lots of heat & also causes short circut to the aircraft wiring.......I am very desparate to install them but very much confused as these lights are very expensive & I waited 18 months to get these lights so dont wana take any chance to fuse them during experiments.....
    One more thing there ampere power is not mentioned on them......
    Please advice

    Regards,
    Fahad

    @offroad

    You said that they are 450 Watts, amperes is watts divided by volts. I=P/V. I is current in amperes, P is power in Watts, V is voltage.

    As for the cooling problem. Can you post a pic of the lights? It might be possible to make a type of heat sink / Cooling fan combo for these things.

    Cheers!
