toyota 2c (2.0 litre) with turbo. or even 3c (2.2 litre) if you have the extra cash. keep the same gearbox. alternatively get a 5speed manual toyota gearbox (for 2wd) and mate it to the existing 4wd box. this will give you better on road cruising while retaining the offroad prowess.

very short wheelbase. great for offroading but cant make it too comfortable. try slightly lower air pressure in the tires that will help a little. you can try air shocks also but it starts getting expensive to do all this. get more road bias tires than mud or all terrain. that will help quite a bit but most road tires dont look cool!

coils will make it much softer/comfortable but thats alot of fabrication and dont know if there are many people who will do a good conversion. Jimmy springs will probably be a good bet but i havent seen any so cant really say. another popular conversion is leaf springs from a Daihatsu rocky but only seen those on willys etc and that is normally a pretty good conersion.

Keep the original engine, and if it is not in good working order you can get a new one for about 18,000

Keep the original engine or any other petrol engine as the gearbox and diffs of SJ410 need very high rev engine. If you have to go for a diesel engine at any cost then go for 1 N turbo with five speed gearbox. SJ410 is the most capable offroader in the world.

@ aamirq bhai for ur info..... the sj410 is the other name ,rather infact original name, of suzuki potohar........s stands for suzuki,j for jeep ,4 for 4wd and 10 stands for 1.0 litre engine......there had been a model known as sj413 with g13
engine avalaible in the international market...its light weight makes it a heck of a capable offroader......If I m not wrong the jimny or jimmy models came wid coil springs wid better ride quality.....The best iteration of sj413 was samuari "coily"
which better ride quality, wider than predecessors, impact saftey beams in doors and a slightly redesigned interior and front grille+indicator lamps arrangement..have seen few of them so far

I havent seen any conversion of leafsprings on sj410 but have seen it to cj5 which means it can be done. start with reducing tyre pressure to 20. sumurai engine can be a good option once your original engine is gone. post pics please.
