I just saw the add again... i wish i had the money to join

anyways... i can share knowledge with u bro...

sand/dust is the no1 enemy in the desert... a very very good air filter... preferably a snorkel to get clean air. Filter should filter the tiniest dusty particles but let the air flow!

keep spares... like hoses, filters, lubbricants, a decent tool kit, a fit aid box, an air pump etc

and remember if this is the first time ur rallying.. dont race to win.. race to learn

A member Sajid bhai defender walay hav actually participated in rally.. he can guide u better

i think u should remove the origional bumpers

if u can afford.. you can make some custom metal bumpers as seen on offroad jeeps.. saw such a jimny once.. good for rallying purpose

    Follow what Shani said.

    Finish the rally thats all.
    Drive within your limitations.
Dont try to do anything extra ordinary.
and like he said, the rest, we shall see..
    Remember to win the rally
you have go to to finish the rally.

make sure that you bring a good jack,
spare tires and a wood board to support the jack
in case you need to change a tire in the middle
    of a sand dune.

Reg bumpers , do i change to custom made steel ones or keep going on original ? waisay jeep got front bull gaurd , else nothing, all stock.

not sure about the suspension, i am sure its good enough if you ride easy..

also take the bumper out and put a 2" pipe or something, keep it simple and light weight.

also dont forget the safety equipment,

    helmets
    roll cage
    4 point harness
    fire extinguisher

race day, take at least enough water and snacks to last you 2 to 3 days and some warm clothing as well.

by the way, i may particpate as well.. right now its 50/50.

Storm, why would you say something like that?
There is so much more to rally than gunning your engine down. Let the evos and vigos fight it out..and reality is that there is always a chance to be on the podium if you finish the rally, as some of these wild drivers tend to break their cars by pushing too hard. And besides thats why they have categories so as to give a level playing field. Also i think that the categories advised on pakwheels maybe incorrect, but i am not 100% sure.
And last but not least, its not just the race day that matters, its being out there for 3 to 5 days and soaking in the expereince that matters..

I think it is toooo costly to register. Check the web site that @Xerxes has attached. You won't think again to enroll in this event
