Default CAN SUZUKI JIMNY'S BE CONVERTED IN TO DIESEL ?

In discussion forum, one of the PAKWheels member pointed out that it's alway's better to take Diesel off roads to Northern Areas since petrol is often not available at far flung areas. My question is "Can Suzuki Jimny be converted in to Diesel ?. If yes ! With which diesel engine & from where ?.

Replies from seasoned off roaders will be highly appreciated.

    Gallani Sahib,
Yes u can convert any Suzuki Jeep into Toyota 2c Turbo Diesel. But Personaly i wont recomend to convert your beautiful expensive Jimny into diesel. As diesel engines are heavy & it will Fuc*k your beautiful light weight Jimny.

I understand your conern reg Petrol non availability in Northern areas.I will recomend You a Willys Jeep/ Land Rover Defender 90/ Toyota Jeep RKC/Dihutsu Rocky Or if u can afford go for a Land Cruiser Or a Toyota Hilux 4x4 Doubkle cabin Pick up.
Well Its diffilcut to Find a Toyota Jeep in a budget u have abt 500k but u can get a Land Rover Or Dihutsu Rocky in this price tag. They are equally good even better than Toyota in Offroading. But toyota has high resale, cheep parts, comfertable but expensive...
So its all upto your pocket & requirement.

    Offroader2323,
U got a beautiful hunting machine man.But Galani sahib got the new model (660cc) probably 2005 Model thats why i advice him not to convert it into diesel as its small, new & having lighter chasis than yours it cant bear the vibrations of the Diesel engine. For a Sj410 like yours Toyota 2c or 3c Turbo Rocks

    Jillanik,
Suzuki Jimny's also come in a 1.5 Turbo Diesel engine in all countries other than Pakistan,
if you are looking to purchase a vehicle, I would suggest that u have that privately imported,
the 1.5D is however in the newer Jimny,
Someone suggested that you might already own a 660cc Jimny, Im not sure if that will take the engine, however if u have one with the M13A, u should be able to simply replace the engine and everything should bolt on to it.
