Default The Pakwheels.com Pictures of Pak Zabardast Jeep.

I did not notice the new pictures of the Pakistani Zabardast Jeep on the Pakwheels new wheels gallery. It actually looks alot better than the pictures at Adam Motors web site. The paint job and closer looks shows the bold and tough design. It is certainly tougher than its main competition Suzuki Pothohar.

It has Isuzu Engine in it. 4x4, but do not know who designed it. A Chinese jeep looks similar but that is a soft top only. This one looks original creation of Adam Motors. Rugged and respectable. Reminds of Mecedez G300 Wagon.

Do you have pics of the interior. This looks to be a pretty good jeep and at a reasonable price also.

the jeep is rock solid.. i really liked it.. i think it weighs twice than a corolla. the problem is that the sheer 4X4 attitude of this jeep is not attracting a lot of buyers.. because most people like comfortable and sporty looking jeeps which will never be used by them in offroad mode.. this jeep is so agressive that it doesnt even have door panels.. there is only metal there.. and that is what a lot of ppl wont understand.. i loved it.

faysal 24 and nightsurfer, yes this jeep is based on rugged and tough foundation. Very capable, Real Jeep. Not sure if it has All Time Fourwheel drive. Otherwise this is absolutely best for mountain terrain, for Military, for farmers, and other heavy duty in the rugged job demanding inviduals.

I dont have interior pictures, just got these from Pakwheels, New wheels gallery.

this pics were taken off Adam Motors showroom itself by us at PakWheels.com, i'll get someone to have pics of interiors added to our gallery too

Let's see if we happen to visit their showroom again, we can get more closeup & detail pictures of specific areas.. and under 4x4 pics also if they permit!

Potohar is around 7 and this Jeep is around 9.........so it is definitely better that a Potohar...no comparison at all.
Isuzu engine is good......a bit noisy but tough....and durable.
The body is a mix of the chinese jeep........BJ something and American CJ-5,7..all in all its a good buy in 9 lacs.

    @ datzburier:
Well, this jeep hasn't been designed by Adam Motors themselves. Adam are assembling this vehicle under license from Beijing Jeep Corporation (BJC), which is a joint venture with DaimlerChrysler, the original owners of the JEEP brand. I think this is an old design of JEEP itself. For details, go to:
    http://www.autoindex.org/maker.plt?no=137&g=Beijing%20Jeep
And of course, it is way better than Suzuki Potohar. Potohar having a 1000cc engine is a mini jeep, costing close to Rs. 700k. And this one is 2900cc, much larger in size, costs around Rs. 950k
    Evolution interrupted.

What's the price for one of those things? I saw one yesterday (red) near rayyans in F-8 and it was alot bigger than I thought. Hopefully if its priced well and has good service & parts the locally manufatured car will do well.

It seems very inspired by the Korando and Asia roksta. I'm actually interested in trying one offroad because it seems like it has alot of potential. sadly a 2nd hand Landcruiser SWB cabrio from the army/ navy auctions will cost less to restore and will probably offer similar performance and comfort.

Will be interesting to see how it sells....

I would buy this in a jiffy IF ONLY they would update the shape, specially the font. The interior leaves a lot to be desired as well but that one can always customize. But the front looks just awefull.

2.8 litre Isuzu engine is actually a pretty good deal for 9lakh. Considering closest rival is Land Rover Defender which is complete crap at 24 lakhs.

Btw, can this jeep be converted in to automatic? any idea..anyone? also are there any Mercedes G class in Pakistan for sale?

I actually own a defender,... and for what it's made for it's excellent. Some of us need a bit of room to fit the technicians while hauling a couple of industrial valves...

In no way is it the defender a luxury 4x4 but if i wanted that i could have bought a Hi-lux or vigo etc...

Well you are the first pakistani who actually likes his defender. I was considering to buy one, but then found price / value ratio bit off. Its too pricy and the quality not that good. Perhaps if it was under 15 lakh I would consider it. Yours looks pretty good. Care to sell? lol..
Can these be converted in to automatic? and how the heck do you change them gears the stick on manual is almost in the passanger side!

    Take care

They are indeed a bit expensive but I was more into buying it because of my use (and I had a Sportage before). Ideally the defender should be a little cheaper (though the prices have ceom down now). As for the gears, yes they are a little far away, but since i'm not exactly small i can reach them pretty well. You can convert the defender to auto using an autobox from a 300TDi discovery (striaght fit) and it is actually something i'm looking into. If you are looking for a defender in the 15 range you can always find a used 90 (mines a 110). A 2nd hand 90 cabrio should be around 15 lacks now.

As for all the parts on my 110 (imported all the stuff from the UK a few months back - except the snorkel and bullbar).

Service at land rover is amazing. I took it in a few days back after breaking a few parts due to severe abuse and they changed all of them under warranty (even though it was my fault) Free of cost!

If nothing else, they have an amazing staff.

i have a chance to bid on a 110 less than 20k driven defender here in karachi at about 16 lakhs..what do you say should i go for it? or am i getting a lemon?

I also noticed that there is not much room on the drivers right side and that shoulders get cramped against the side bar. Is that something you feel when driving ?

Also is the maintenance cost very high ? parts? accessories etc? heard they are all pretty steep.

One more question, have you modified the inside? the back seats are pretty bad? can better quality seats be fit in to the back?

Let me know as I may then make a serious bid towards the one that is available here.
