    Default 4x4 Double Cabin Project

I am planning to start a 4x4 double cabin project.

    Budget is about 300 to 350 k.

The vehicle will be used only for onroad use and no offroad use. Daily distance to be traveled is 80 km.

Is it possible that I get the body cabin and chassis of Hilux double cabin (1990 or 1992 model type) and then source the parts from Shershah in order to keep the cost low.

Want to have an with very low fuel consumption. Which one will be good, diesel or petrol. Cuz if its petrol then i'll have it converted to CNG.

All experts on this, kindly give your advice. Is this project possible. Who are all the good system integrators who may work on this project. What should be the drivetrain specifications, keeping in view the intended usage of this vehicle.

    Waiting for your kind comments.

    Thanks

If I would want to buy only a body (double cabin) and chassis, which would be the best places in Karachi to look for them and in your opinion what will be the price. I may then source cheaper parts from various locations.

    Take care

@Shell Bro once upon a time i wanted to do the same, always wanted a double cabin hilex for hardcore offroading. My budget was around 5. Than one day i got up and the dream was no more. Why u may ask. its just not possible. In ur budet very hard balkey imposible. GO for cj or average condition landcruiser.
Hilex ka sirf chassis andrun down body with papers cost u around 2.5 lac. Woh bhi its quite hard to come thru as ppl from pesh n quetta buy them and put newer bodies on them, smuggled one. Most of the hilex u see around u are the same kind i am talking about .

@TLCFJ40 you mentioned that average condition landcruiser can come in this budget. Kindly intimate which model would that be and good locations from where it can be bought.

Also which would be the best places to search for rundown bodies.

    Thanks

Well if i float a bizarre idea. "powering a hilux double cabin with a car petrol engine of 1500 - 1600 cc after converting it to cng" can anyone tell me if it is possible.

Please consider that the vehicle will not be used for any offroading or loading activity. Only on road daily usage.

Also what will be the expected fuel consumption in this case.

    Thanks.

Kindly tell me the specs of these engines. Could these be coupled with an automatic gearbox with 4x4 option.

Will appreciate if you could also intimate the approximate prices.

    Thanks.
