    Default Got this Hydraulic Jack and other stuff

    Today I went for shopping and got this hydraulic jack. I had missed this a few months ago when Metro Isl placed on special offers stands. Now it is back again on offer. So grabbed it some other stuff. Amazingly after the new tax structure and devaluation of rupee things are much more costlier now.

    I am special astonished at the price of Shell semi-synth. In March I got it for Rs 1,030 and on every visit to Metro, I saw a couple of hundreds added and today it was for 1,370.

    I have yet another 2K Kms to get an oil change, but bought it because by then it will be selling for more than 1,500 rs. Tomorrow will go to Toyota 3S and buy the oil filter, don't know what price they will charge now, it was already an ever rising item price wise.

    Did anyone use/buy this hydraulic jack? Any feedback? But I think it is worth trying.

    Thats the point of jack... You lift up the car, place jack stands under the frame and remove jack.

    by the way... this jack is very good. It's very fast and usually jacks of this type can lift loads up to 20 ton... but I am not sure which model is this one.

    and even with 4 wheel jack stand ... You should always use jack stands.

    Always use jack stand when working under the vehicle. Normal jack is okay for tire change. Hydraulic jack lifts the car quickly and easily but jack stand is the safest, and should be used according to manufacturers marked spots for supporting the vehicle. Also you can not rely on the hydraulic ones some times they leak hydraulic oil, vehicle might come down slowly or quickly depending on the leak. Work safely brothers.:-)

    Good words of caution about jack stand. Well with a normal screw type, I always keep a spare wheel under the car or some brick. This jack I have got is for tyre changing only, not for working under it. The one with @Ghuncha is good, but takes more space. Anyways, will get the jackstands or ghori for additional safety.

    ^^Which one? or you are talking about screw type which comes in all cars, or the blue one above or the red one like Ghuncha's.

    @AkbarGr8

    Don't waste your money on buying a blower to clean up the air filters... electric blowers are not that powerful to clean up the filter all the way....

    Here we have compressors in shops.... or some people even have the compressors in homes to do tire changes and stuff....

    Air guns.... to open big nugs and bolts.. Air rachets for small nuts and bolts.. air guns... to clean things...

    compressor air has a lot of pressure that you won't get from an electric blower.
    Large displacement and nothing else!
