Default Help getting 4x4 Ambulance for Earthquake Victims

    Dear Friends,
    Ladies and Gentlemen,

    Your Excellencies Asslam-o-Alaikum,

My permanent residence is in village Ghatian , at jiggle, Union Council / Post office Bheri, Tehsil and Distt. Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir , Pakistan.

On the 8th of October 2005, the earthquake struckand we lost every thing. Many of my blood relatives died.

The area is very remote and roads has not been rebuilt after the earthquake. It takes three hours to reach our village from Muzaffarabad. There are no health facilities available in the area and people carry patients on their shoulders in cots and bring them to a point from where they hire a 4x4 jeep and travel 38 kilometers
    away to Muzaffarabad for treatment.

Before the quake, I used to travel from Islamabad direct to village in my KIA Classic car in reach in four hours. But after the earthquake, it is a nightmare to travel from Muzaffarabad to Behri even after three years of quake. As jeeps are not available easily and fare is very high, sometimes dead bodies remain dumped on the pavement in cots and sick people wait for hours. My mother, who traumatized in earthquake, passed away on August 18, 2006. I took her mortal remains in an Edhi Ambulance from Islamabad to Muzaffarabad. It took three hours to find a jeep and I paid Rs. 4000/ fare to take the dead body to village for burial. the situation is still the same.

I have tried to arrange a 4X4 vehicle to use an an ambulance for those needy people though NGOs and other private sources but so far no luck.
I myself am not in a position to buy one.

Therefore, I request all of you who visit this site,To kindly donate/arrange a 4X4 vehicle, old, new , jeep, Suzuki Potohar jimmy, Pickup double /single cabin, any model anything 4 wheel drive in running condition, that could be used to to help those people. This will be kept in standby and used to bring the patients to Muzaffarabad and take them back.

I will be personally grateful for this humanitarian gesture and you will earn prayers of those people who are suffering because of lack of resources, and more so, the apathy of the government agencies.

I am sure there are many kind heated people out there who care for the suffering humanity and willing to share the bounties Almighty ALLAH has bestowed upon them. This was demonstrated from Khyber to Karachi after the earthquake in October 2005. I sincerely hope some one will again come forward.

    Yours Sincerely

    Muhammad Ayub Minhas,

I am willing to share. Please advice when the project Jeep/Ambulance is finalized.
We might need to check who will handle the ambulance and will it be used for its dedicated purpose.............

If all agree, we need to have a Munshi to keep track of money.

I will be happy to donate RS. 20,000 for this noble cause.

Sure the cause is genuine. If the vehicle is arranged, we all will go there have some lunch at my place, a damaged house which is being rebuild.it would be a nice holiday ride. It is exactly 170 km from Islamabad and around six hours journey , four to Muzaffarabad and from there, over two hours to bheri depending on weather.October 8 is third anniversary of earthquake and there miseries all around after three years. you better see if already had not been to those remote areas after the tremor.Beautiful valley but lie very tough. if some one has not gone out of urban center
like Islamabad before, happens to go there first time, he will instantly shout, ooooooooooh God Darwin was right.
By the way, no problem we all can Munshis. regards.

@ALL/IJC/Any PW Member in the surrounding --- Plz help in getting authentication for this person.

And for the funds my idea is: - that all the money from PW should be collected at one place (any snr.member account)and from there the final transaction should be carried out.

guys, i can understand this is emotional, but i dont suggest to collect money like this, coz dishonesty can easily kick in anytime by anyone, nothing personal to anyone!

here is a suggestion and it should always be like this when it comes to charity,

someone responsible should talk to charities already working on projects e.g. Edhi, Islamic Mission,

they should than arrange this under their umbrella,

a group (Edhi or any other) could make a big difference then the individuals

    hope it makes sense,
