Default I want to buy brand new KIA Sportage

Please guide me about this vehicle. I know the resale is low and engine is under powered. But since I am living in Karachi, dont require offroad features like 4x4. Any one who is using it finds any fault in Engine or suspension? What is fuel consumption? What about interior and exterior finishes, AC etc. I ll be grateful if any one advice me on that account.

Interior: Low-medium quality, nothing to rave about... very plastic-ish.

Engine: Underpowered, slow pick, feels heavy, not designed for the body size

    Suspension: Surprisingly okay

Fuel consumption: Ridiculous, engine is too small for the body, obviously the consumption will be bad

Conclusion: Do you really want to buy a car thats about to be discontinued? See the kia.com website for the new sportage.

    ok?
if u wan a real good price 4x4 then wait & go for a new model of Adam zabardast in Jan 2006.
or go for a gr8 car like Nissan etc.

From my personal experience, I will suggest you not to buy Sportage. Our office bought one Grand Sportage in August and though very sparingly used we notices its rear seat getting tonred in the very first few days, rubbers and lining have started coming out of their places. The front door rubber that goes along the windshield was shoddly cut and unfinished paint job on top of rear wheel part. I drove it from Islamabad to Abbottabad on October 8 when earthquake hit and on my way was frustrated with its pick. You cannot see the speedo meter and rpm meter properly, really underpowered and noisy engine. Toyota's 2.0 D is much better than Sportage (but it is a car!). Sportage parked in open for three days in rain and its front discs (brakes) showed signs of massive rusting. I think it will be waste of money.
Be polite on the road. Always give way to others, particularly ambulances and pedestrians.

U should wait for new model to arrive in december. It is imported and it would be definately better in all quality aspects.
