    Default How is Potohar off the road?

    Experts / IJC: I just wanted to know about the performance of Potohar off the road. Especially whether it has center of gravity issues owing to its high roof and short wheel-base. I would appreciate any other feedback as well. Looking forward to hearing from all the friends.

    Lolz @ Ameerusman. I'm likely to put your theorey to the test though

    @jeepaholic:

    Good explanation for high roof, but most of the Potohars I've seen in Pk have front facing rear seat which means that the rear door can't be used to enter it. I've seen some with side facing rear seats as well. I'm not sure which ones are stock though.

    Guys! Any comments on how to improve ride of Potohar. Has one experimented changing 'Kamanis', elongating body and making it long chasis, etc.

    Secondly, what is opinion about Suzuki Sierra ride. Is it better than Potohar?

    I must say that i am in love with my potohar(SJ410) drive it daily. my daily running is almost 100km and i enjoy driving it more then my corolla.

    i really enjoy the jumps and stuff and when it shakes at 110 the fun has just started lol.

    my ride has done around more then 55000KM now and its been driven hard the jeep has never given up at any moment. talking about the petrol 1.0 version.

    this jeep intend to over turn if you take a sharp turn in speed more then 30km/h lol
    i do not agree with it it can take turns at around 50 or even 60 but some times the back goes out but when at 4X4 this problem is gone.

    What the hell is Suzuki doing in Pakistan!

    phir tu es ko GOLI maro aur koi Hilux ya Landcruiser (used) le lo.
    And remember! those who are buying it in this tag price will say after a few years;

    "Allah k naam pe Jimny le lo baba, sirf 500k ki he le lo, khuda k lea, mujey peson ki zaroort hai!!!:p:p:p"
    Like the Fiat Uno owners have done!

    @qwertypoiu
    i do not agree with it it can take turns at around 50 or even 60.........

    I think comments on Sierra are welcome because their owners ask way higher than Potohars.

    Allah hum sub ko apni hifazat mein rakhay.
    But i guess cause of the cng cylinder the centre of gravity has been lowered a bit.
    The ride is bumpy at times but its enjoyable all the time, the jeep has better braking than the corolla and on petrol not exactly slow either

    I used to drive my father's sarkari potohar (rarely).It has got gud torque, as for the top speed once i was driving it at around 90km/h and had to brake suddenly coz a tractor came on road from nowhere and while applying brakes i felt like i'm sitting in a stock mehran with general tyres.I felt literly no decrease in speed to 2-3 seconds...
    Ride is very bumpy even at low speed when the road is no even,but gud on dirt or sand.
    one more thing i notices is that,it's a real fuel hungry jeep.i think it only gives 7-9 km/l,which is tooo low for a 1.3,especially since it's not turbo.
    Qaiser Pal,I have not failed.But found 1 of 10,000 ways which doesn't work.....Toyota driver "I couldn't repair my brakes,so i made my horn louder"..When i was born i was so surprised that i didn't talked to one and half year..since light travel faster then sound,people appear bright until you hear them speak..If u can't convince them,confuse them

    Potohar is a good, sturdy little offroader. Had it for a year or so as my daily runner n it performed very well. did some off-roading on it n i was surprised to c tht it went very well.
